On the invoice for the steering repair what did it say exactly?
not really worth sacking him and a bit unfair, all he did was fix it. The garage and service manager is the fraudulent party here.

I have just ordered a new ESL from my local Mercedes dealer with the program key...cost me just over £400 however you get some back for the old ESL and the cost of the program key back...according to mercedes
mine hasn't locked but has failed to crank over quite a lot recently, i phoned to get the full history as the car is used and was told the ESL hasn't been replaced and mines a 2007 model
how easy is it to do? the lock comes off and ignition lights come on
