Thats been hit on one of the most complicated parts of the car,, it will need a new inner and outer sill, eventhen the floor could be damaged.

That is a hard one to do, you can see it has altered the front wing line up and that was not hit. With a broken back, I would pass, clean car though for spare parts

I think the B- pillar has had it as well. How is that for rigidity and scuttle shake?

The B pillar is an interesting part of the car, I have seen cars with a kink in the roof above the B pillar and no other damage, and the car is a write off

Im presuiming this could be fixed but maybe not cheaply:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MERCEDES-E200...83QQihZ007QQcategoryZ9855QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Would need:
2 new off side doors
Front wing
Bonnet badge
new side skirt
A GOOD clean from inside
Radio
And a new selector according to him

Whats the panels thoughts ?

A couple of doors and a tweak and it will go again, an afternoons work if you know what you are doing.

Assuming that it's recorded and will need a bit of paint it's not all that cheap though...

You'd want to buy a car like that for £800 and and have it owing you £1500 all done.

Best leave it for the Africans.

if you look at the photo the inner floor part of the sill is pushed in, and not just the cosmetic outer

And may not be as structurally sound as when it went in.

B-posts aren't all that strong, so you can draw them back out with out too much grief.

A-posts are a far more difficult repair, especially if the roof has lifted...

For once I kind of agree with Nick. It can be repaired quite easily if you're handy with a hydraulic puller. But, all you'll end up with is a poverty spec, high mileage W210 with no radio or service history and 'write off' printed all over the log book.
It's just not worth the hassle.
Definitely an African taxi in the making. (or possibly off to Poland for a holiday and come back all fixed)

Isn't that just where the bonnet is open?

Shame hes not scrapping it, I could do with the door from the armrest.

He'd get much much more money for it by pulling it to bits and selling the parts separately.

Do agree with you there but then i guess not everyone is upto taking the time to do so

He'd be breaking the law though, if the environment agency catch you breaking a car it's curtians...
