W211 Distronic - Speed Setting

Loving my new retrofitted distronic, extra toy

I actually finished the install last year but didn't have time to get the car booked in. So January 2014... Coding done on Tuesday (thanks Richard, great service) and distronic alignment done on Wednesday at Mercedes - Gatwick, all done :bannana:

1 thing I did notice after reading the manual.

I have read a number of threads of how people are missing how they can set a specific speed on a W211 with distronic. For distronic, by pushing up on the stalk the set speed does go up by 5mph increments, however, by pull the stalk towards you, you can set the speed by 1mph increments

Don't you find it a bit 'urgent' when, for example on the motorway, the car in front moves over and Distronic resumes the set speed? Mine takes off like the proverbial scalded cat!!

I know what you mean by the sudden acceleration but I find most of the time it is quite smooth.
