I've owned my 1996 W124 E220 for the past 2 months. Since then I've changed the Air & Fuel filter, cleaned out the throttle body and run two bottles of Chevron Techron fuel additive through the lines.

I haven't seen water from the tailpipe on start up yet, common on healthy petrol 124s.

I plan to:

1) Change plugs
2) Inspect Coils
3) Pour "Seafoam" a crank cleaner through the intake piping

Could the lack of H2O be a sign of a bigger problem? Should I do more when the car goes for its 50,000 km tune up?

Thanks in advance!

Where do you park the car?

Dave!

I have it covered in an open parking spot. The ambient temperature outside, when checked, is pretty cool.

I should probably mention that my fuel efficiency is 7.5 kmpl in a mix of (50% horrendous traffic with AC / 50% highway)

I never get any condensation from the exhaust on mine unless it has been sat for several days. Then when it happens it's only for a few seconds.

If your mileage is fine which to me it does seem quite good then I wouldn't worry.

Dave!
