What do you want to know?

JBD,

Whats a black c63 coupe 62 plate with 29k miles worth from a merc dealer?

And used should I buy with my own finance as opposed to PCP I understand a PCP on used car are not good value - is that correct?

Thanks a lot

I'd advise looking on Mercedes-Benz approved used to see what similar spec cars are selling for .

PCP on used cars is fine, it's just that sometimes cars that are only a year old can end up no cheaper than a new one. In this case, it's still a good option. It really comes down to what you want to pay per month

Hi JBD,

What are the best options for an SLK55 AMG on agility? Do they increase the GMFV or are they just more likely to leave me in positive equity at the end of the term?

Do you know how long the £599 per month offer will be on for?

My main dealer tried to get me to go with some of their new orders that are already on the way (I guess showroom cars or intended to be a demo car as they've not got an SLK55 AMG to demo).

Is this a good idea, or is it better to spec up my own car and if I go with one of 'theirs' should I expect a discount? Only because they've got a top spec in the colour I'm looking for coming early next month but I'm not sure if I should have to pay for having every single option box ticked, especially the keyless go considering I've heard a few nightmares about it.

Also do you know how long the lead time for delivery of an SLK55 AMG is at the moment? Is it fairly soon or should I be expecting '65 plate september sort of time if I was to option my own car?

Thanks a bunch, and if you think you can do me a better deal than my local dealers then give me a PM as long as you're not in northern ireland or somewhere absolutely miles away :)

EDIT: Oh also do you know if the same agility offer can be spread over 48 months instead of 36 or is there no point because they drop the GMFV a lot over that 4th year? And if so can you extend the £40pm servicing package over 4 years?

GFV Enhancing options are:

AMG Drivers Package
Panoramic Vario Roof with Magic Sky Control
Harmon Kardon
AMG Performance Package
Airscarf
Drivers Assistance Package
Metallic Paint
Parktronic
Pan Vario Roof
Telephone Prewiring

We have one in stock and I think you're looking at 3 months for delivery for factory order

I did a poll on colour for my C350e and Cavan site. Blue is winning , I can't see the big thing about it though I have not seen it on a car yet ,is it not just dark blue

I saw it flash past on an E class cab looked amazing...and its just a break from white black and silver!

Tony.

Ok, lots of questions!

Yes, some options will enhance the GFV, which I'll look at tomorrow for you.

Ordering from the factory or taking a car that's built is completely up to you. That depends on whether they have anything coming in that you like.

Availability is down to the individual dealer, I'll look tomorrow to see what we can get.

Agility can be 24, 36 or 48 months. They should be able to quote for each and you'll see which is better value.

The servicing can be over 4 years yes, at the same price.

I'm happy to look at a deal for you. PM me your email address :)

Thanks for your help, I'll fire you off an email. From what I've seen the offer is until 30th September with that dealer contribution and a new build would be pushing it. If you've got any already ordered in time for that cut off please let me know as the only ones round here have every option box ticked at at least £60k.

Sent you a message with my email about the one you've got in stock. Ignore my previous post as I didn't see your reply.

I have mate, unfortunately prices for more/less same spec and mileage seem to vary from anywhere between 1-5k, so was wondering if there is a benchmark i could work off.

Hi to everyone, I am Kuro I recently bought E class 250 cdi sport (w212)
very nice drive, I always drove Jap cars and this one a big change for me as very different drive. I would like to know more about this particular model and many other useful tips. Thank you very much.

JBD could you kindly tell me if it's possable to spec a C350e sport estate with every thing that prem plus has apart from the pan roof so I don't have to have the 18" wheels on lease many thanks :thumb:

Many thanks , so one can't have any options a part from prem and prem plus now can't even add keyless ? On lease companys web site it lets me add pan roof to a standard C350e sport and that is all , it's madness , the Tesla model s is looking more and more appealing now

Yes, you can still add some options separately. Have a look in the brochure.

I got caught out in the same way. I ordered a Burmester sound system as an option but was informed 2 weeks later that it was now part of a £2700 package so MB lost out on its profit margin as I went without.

Not sure why they have gone down this path. Maybe their view is that there is more money to be made by selling options that are not wanted with options that are wanted when it is packaged. All I know is that they have upset a first time MB buyer even before the car has been delivered.

If the new BMW 3 series was already on sale where options can be bought separately MB might well have lost my business.

Looked and there is not a lot that can be added to a standard C350e sport ,,keyless no , comand no,Burmester no ,but you can add pan roof ( which is the problem in the first place ) you can also have the most expensive air freshener at £350 ....feeling quite feed up with Mercedes now looking for alternatives :(

This model is looking like it may be a bit of a PR disaster for MB unfortunately!

How could a car that's sold out and has awesome reviews be a PR disaster?
