What do you want to know?

I am informed by Pendragon that the car will be delivered direct from the UK port - apparently this is a new approach that Mercedes are forcing on dealers? I assume this is for fleet cars only and not private vehicles?

I have heard of this at all. Cars normally have their pre delivery inspection at dealer, I've never heard of them being done at port. Sounds like lies to me

Hi JBD
Thanks for the info, just seen the news re the new CLS on Autocar site, really hope they keep the SB as I love mine, very under rated car in my opinion.

Beginning to think you are right - it's Mercedes Leeds - not sure I would want to deal directly with them on a car purchase - seem rather 'old school' car dealers...

Interestingly I have had a call this morning - car being delivered from Killingholme today - so from the port...

Hi. Recently purchased a 07 350SL ...a beautiful car like no other i have driven. However, been doing my own detailing last night and noticed the bottom edge of the rear windscreen has rusting to it and it appears that the seal looks perished. Is this a new windscreen or treat the rust and replace the seal ???? Costs for both would be appreciated thanks.

Unfortunately that's not something I know anything about. Apologies

Hi JBD, can you advise where the E350e is manufactured and also what the current build times are? I remember my C350e being delayed and delayed so wanted to know if this is likely to be the case with he E, which I am considering as a company car for early-mid 2017.

Hi,

Production doesn't start until December for the E350e. No dealership has allocation for them yet, but I can't imagine the wait will be huge if you get your order in in the spring. I believe it's still built in Germany

Hi James

As I've said before, I'm very interested in replacing my SLK next year with a new C cab.

From your experience, which (non-AMG) engine version would you choose for the most B road fun?

I fancy the 300 petrol, but have enjoyed the low end punch of the 250cdi in two cars now and do enjoy it..

ta!

Definitely the 300! The problem in the coupe is its 7G-Trinidad, but it gets then 9 speed box in the cab. Personally I'd avoid the diesel, it's a bit long in the tooth

Thanks! I'll think about the 300 and agive it a try when the cabs start appearing. :)

Have been looking through the accessories catalog, and confused about the "universal smartphone holder" any ideas where this actually sits on a S205? I assume centre console under arm rest?

I'll tell you. What's your reg or chassis number? It should be 7G-tonic

Hi JPB,

I'm looking at buying or leasing a C43 or GLC next year. I would be wanting Black Ash trim in either case but on the GLC the leasing company has Dark Brown Ash, not black.
Are you aware of plans for black ash to be usurped by dark brown in Merc's range?

That's not going to happen, black ash is the most popular option

Hi, Thank you...HJ61ZHY Coming up for its 5year service next month.
Full Mercedes history.
The service book states the 722.9 NAG2 should have a one off oil/filter change at ???miles or 3 years.
The 722.9 2FE Plus ...A one off oil filter change at ???miles or five years. I have been informed that I will require said change at the next service...due 20 Sept 2016.
The car is not stop start. The history does not show a gearbox filter /oil change .

Thank you again.

It's definitely the 7 speed
