What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Had my old gloss black spoiler on fbmp for about a month for £20 with minimal interest just the usual clowns but today i found out from someone that wanted it that its actually a genuine one i didn't realise/bother to check the part number on the inside i was surprised they come from the factory with an option for spoiler to be fair, so i do apologise fb person if your on here as i amended the listing and put the price up  I wasn't really interested in selling it in a hurry anyway let alone now, so its sat in the man cave still not taking up any room but i almost feel guilty for binning it off for the carbon one as a new primed spoiler is north of £300 on the bay 🙈 😅

The new AGM battery arrived today to replace the expired original. Straight swap and everything worked without any resetting procedures. But then the glow plug light came on.....One plug showed open circuit so replaced it with no drama or damage.

Not a mod i have done today but i thought it would be good to share it :

I stumbled on an advert on instagram about a box that attaches through the USB port of the car that allows you to play TV/Netflix/Youtube etc

The website was : DigiDash - Transform Your Car

Don't normally trust instagram or facebook ads but as it was something of interest i decided to take the chance, few days later the package turned up.
Took 1min to figure it out and plugged it in to the CarPlay port using the USB-C cable provided.
Couple of minutes and the screen was on, connected it to my phone via the hotspot and i could use netflix, youtube etc even while driving (great for the passenger lol )

Anyway as it looked like a basic android box i tried to download an IPTV app i use on my firestick, it worked !! So now i have full streamed TV on in my car using the normal apple car play port !!

I am not involved in this company but had been looking at a way to retrofit a TV tuner in my car ever since i bought it and this is purely plug and play

My car is a 2020 V167 GLE 300d - message the company to see if it fits your model before buying tho

Aaron

I gave my wife's Fiat 500 a deep clean yesterday and ran out of time to do mine properly. So I just cleaned the brake dust off the wheels and lathered on some Aytoglym tyre dressing.

It's surprising how much clean wheels lift the whole appearance of a car; huge improvement.

Totally agree. :) 👍

One day I might invest in a trolley jack so I can take the wheels off, give them a deep clean & then wax them. When I originally bought the wheels from Woodythewise, I treated them with Poorboys wax and they tended to stay significantly cleaner for a long time.

And/or get some low-dust pads that someone was recommending a couple of pages back.

OR maybe use Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour or some other ceramic coating mentioned earlier.

Try from Costco, the Arcan XL2750. Really good trolley jack for the price. Also has low entry for some of our cars. Plus has a wide pad meaning I do not need a puck on the W212.

It's a 2 stage thing as the lacquer went on top of the Jenolite after 3 hours , would of been a real pain if it was a brushable rust converter.

Then 2 weeks later the XCP .

Bought the missing functionality in Mercedes Me for 3 years as they are at a significant discount at the moment. 3 years service for less than £90
