What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

D1s, I bought osram nightbreaker laser, £92 a pair next day on Amazon. They seem to be the best you can get and I need to fit them tomorrow

They are excellent Teddy, good choice, nice spread of light too. Had them in my old W204 :)

Received short wheel studs from a very generous member of this site.
Big thanks to P

They are for my space saver spare.

Really well engineered way to change a light bulb. Genius in fact.

Speaking of genius, I put the first one in incorrectly and kind of damaged a bit of protective shielding around a bit of metal. I was putting the circular black ‘thing’ on incorrectly and it wouldn’t twist until place. Hope it doesn’t die after a week.

As always, the second one took so much less time to do, but still, what a complete pain.

And in France you have to carry a spare bulb kit so you can change a dud one roadside........
😁

Bought 2 new washer pumps. After 25 years the motors for the front wipers and the one for the headlight wipers failed almost simultaneously. As a stop gap I used the one from the rear wiper to ensure I had water on the windscreen at this time of year! That will now go back on the rear and the 2 new ones for the front washers.

MOT tomorrow so let's see what happens

I've only done city night driving at the moment, but so far I'd say it's pretty much the same as the old lights! I previously had the standard xenarc from factory (this one failed), plus a Halfords special that the car's previous owner installed when the other one failed.

I can't say I notice more light output, but the two I had in there didn't match colour temp exactly, and now they do. Plus I have an MOT coming up in 2-3 weeks...

I live rurally so it will be interesting to see them when I get back to some unlit country lanes...

Still, I never had a big problem with the light output before :)

Watched her drive out the garage in the rain after spending 4 hours washing and polishing it yesterday. It did look beautiful.

Only my pinion so not important, not keen on the double badge, bonnet and grille. I am a purist and like to see thing as they were intended so I do like the original grille. Sorry.:)

Bit late I know but it’s possible to change these without taking the liners out.. mine was done by an MB tech at my indie and he did both in about 10 mins whilst out in the car park. For £20 I couldn’t complain

The original has double badge, bonnet and grille! ;)

That is very true of course, however the bonnet star is not associated with the sport style grille :)
