What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

I took Mrs D to the hairdresser’s in one, and managed 19.4 MPG and an average speed of 29 MPH, and now, 127 miles, 4 hours 21 minutes, two Starbucks drive-thrus, and one Costa later we’re home again. I think there may be a more direct route 👀😁

Ya Caddy do that Rob. No middle seat for a 3rd ‘friend’? We’ll be a bit close for comfort en-route to Nando’s. 🫣
Being a van-nooby I have started small but I learn quickly, ao I’m working my way up to an Actros 🚛

Ill post pics of the old rad crack and where the bottom hose was seized tomorrow 🙂
As mentioned yesterday here's the rad
220 miles round trip at average 28mpg half motorway half A roads not quite roof down weather but enjoyable just the same😀

Given the amount of Astras parked up outside your gaff and your liking of performance motors, I imagined you'd start with one of these

😁😁😁

I bought the wrong van!

Although, the Astramax is universally recognised the world over as the fastest vehicle on the road, so I might have to build up to it 😁

Glad it’s sorted. Nice day for a little topless action though 👍🏻

Just pass Mrs S these and she’ll be putty in your hands.

She’ll be so bowled over by your generosity that she’ll probably suggest that you get back on to Amazon and order a Michelin tool bag, Michelin double barrel foot pump, five cable ties, Halfords Advanced 1/4-inch socket set, cuddly toy, set of saucepans . weekend away at the UK’s premier health spa, and Bully’s star prize, a speedboat.
Super, smashing, great 👍
Although I have never, ever won a star prize. I did win a magazine competition once where the top prize apparently was a moped. Except it turns out there was a typo in the prize listing.

I once won a wibbly wobbly pencil for sending a joke into the Topper (comic). No typos in my prize description it really was wibbly wobbly.

The Bosch Easypump is £54.05 on Amazon tonight, which is a fair bit less than Mrs D paid for it a year or so ago. So I’ve bought another one. Always handy to have a spare.
My extra pump arrived at lunchtime @SpikyMikey so yours can’t be far behind👍🏻

Polished the headlights not that they really needed it but had the polisher out to do the wifes car. I also ran a scan on the iCarsoft. There’s a fault showing with each of the doors but everything seems to work fine. Also the same fault with the aircon (low power or something). I’ll investigate once I’ve sorted the Alfa (suspected aux belt idler needs doing, hoping it’s not the alternator as that’s a monster job!)

Taking the S212 to Dorset tomorrow to see the newly found Pliosaur skull!

Ironically it was an interest in dinosaurs that got me in to geology but all I’ve studied are invertebrates!
