What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Spent the morning getting the old wheel weight adhesive pads of the wheels, after having four new tyres fitted.
Why couldn’t the tyre fitter have removed them ?
I've never know any tyre fitter to do that....I guess its not in their job description!!

Had the rear seats down, and filled the old girl up with building rubbish for a trip to the dump, car now stinks of fox piss, just one of the many ways I have abused the old girl over the years. Always seems to scrub up ok in the end.

I put 340 miles on the C300 yesterday. Before I left it had done 120 miles since last filling it up, and it was showing 147 miles of range left when I got home :thumb: Got 46 mpg on the outward leg and 42 mpg on the way back (full of furniture) - pretty happy with that from a decent-sized petrol estate car.

More than 600 miles range is excellent.

But he had the wheels off the Car I did not ,
There’s always one , no correction two

See my previous message. It took you an entire morning.

How much labour would you be willing to pay someone to work the best part of a morning to do something which no tyre fitter would do?

You're right. There is always one 😂 😂 😂

Correction there’s always two, I was struggling with the wheels on, he had the wheels off, how long would it have took to scrape the adhesives pads off .
Okay , stay up there on your pedestal 😵‍💫

I’m certain that no tyre fitter will remove old balance pads/residue for fear of any comebacks should they scratch the alloy.

As said, it’s not their job.

Thanks. Let me know if you have any issues?

Genuine or possible copy?
The seller (navi..expert) has 927 feedbacks 99.2% positives. The update was on an SD card and I needed to provide my cars VIN number to get the license code. It took just over an hour to install (used ctek then engine on for final 15mins). All seems good. That's all I know.

A few bits for the SLK....

Got the download code for the Nav update on the Comand. Apparently it's the last one for this NTG so might aswell get it as upto date as it will ever be as there is no (reasonabley priced) AA / car play option

Ordered a Viofo dash cam and hard wire kit.

Have sourced some lightly used original AMG mats from a chap on the SLK forum which I will collect next week.

Had the nail in tyre repaired and had laser wheel alignment, which showed three were out but not by much, however one was in the red. All dead centre now....:thumb:

Added some gas to 05 CLK, first time the AC has had a fix since new. on all the time summer and winter.

Ordered 8 x new tyres for the W211 & W212.
Have always went with Michelin which always end up cracking through time.
After a long chat with an MOT tester friend I've went with Continental.

If it's the sat navi eu company then I highly recommend.. I got sent the usb from Europe (can't remember which country) and then got emailed the pin code for my w205.. all was successful after an hours drive and still working fine.
