I was really excited about today when I read your post about going for a drive in the sunshine, and I even told Mrs D that it was going to be sunny!

It’s getting light now and Irma blooming overcast and grey here, so i have just checked the weather app and sure enough it’s cloud all day here!

Forecast to be dry though, I’ll take that!

Good cars, nice big hatchback boot, but they do sit a tad low (like the 3 Series), so maybe not ideal for Mrs Ant.
440i B58 engine is a peach and the ZF8 gearbox is silky smooth.

I had a 420d before this one so they are a good car no matter the engine tbh. Although I think this year will be the year I move on now I’ve discovered my interest in Mercedes lol.

Took one out for a sprin which I can’t remember driving apart from to and from the dealer for a repair in Novemberr. So it was long overdue. Blooming brake pads were rusted to the disks again, as it was parked after a detail, even tnough the Bilt Hambler stuff was applied to prevent it.

It was a pleasant afternoon, so it was wonderful having the roof down. Dry roads also mean that I could safely do some heavy braking to clean up those discs and pads. It made me realise how much I had missed driving it so I must make sure that it’s not so long next time.

Taking it to an event next weekend, so fingers crossed it’s another nice weekend

Mrs D was a little miffed that Baby D and I went out in it today, and she hasn’t been out in it for probably 6 months so we went out in it again today. With the roads being so pleasant the roads were busy but we enjoyed a leisurely cruise in the sunshine. Lovely day for it.
