Workshop tools & socket sets: 3/8" vs 1/2" general advice please

I have exactly the same style jack and axle stands but are RAC branded and the whole lot are a hunk of junk IMO.

The stands and jack do have there uses for supporting engines/gearboxes when doing engine mounts etc so no loss

Sorry, just a repeat of my question, as I think it might be lost above the recent posts

After a few wet week-ends of use the sockets are showing signs of rust.
The rust on the outside wipes off with some WD40, but the rust on the inside seems more resistant.

Do I just need to soak them overnight in WD40 or is this a warranty claim issue?

Is there a specific warranty against corrosion?

If there is not then I would soak them in vinegar overnight, it will totally disolve the rust. I don't think WD40 will do much.
