Just got back from sister-in-laws where we went after the Yomp and read all the posts.
As with everyone else, commiserations with your loss Ian but congratulations for a memorable route.
I found the first half timings a bit hard to match but the ascent of Holme Moss was a first for me and it was BRILLIANT.
Thanks to all participants for their company and banter and to that great motorist in the sky for the weather.
Simon, you probably did the right thing by missing breakfast at the Plough although the staff were very pleasant and helpful, even getting me a bowl of warm water and some paper towels so that I could get the local insect motuary off the wind screen!
Keith I TOLD YOU that I was going to keep to the speed limits, it was 100mph limit on the road to Hawes wasn't it?

Thanks every body.
Facts. 750 miles driven
34 mpg on the way up from Surrey
28mpg on the Yomp
32mpg going home.
