The right paddle shift on my 2008 c220cdi does not operate. Basically it's not pressing or clicking. It's as if it's pressed and can't be depressed? Any ideas
This is on my 2001 E55 but will work on any touch shift MB, I think it could be possible for the non touch shift but I haven't stripped one down.
Her is the link to the vid before I go into all the detail.

Hi everyone,
After much research & time I have finally got round to changing & upgrading my C55 (button-push shift) steering wheel to a Full Paddle Shift steering unit. I know that there has been quite a lot of discussions & different options done to other C55 owners cars on this forum...
Following a chat earlier today at the Scottish Christmas GTG, I'm interested in knowing the ease/complexity/pitfalls of attempting to retro-fit paddle shifts to my 2003 W220 S500L
There are no shift buttons or paddles on the steering wheel at all so it would need to be a new install of them...
I'm looking at swopping the plastic small paddle changers on my new E Coupe to some nice AMG W212 ones and wondered if A2125450068 and A2125450168 are the correct parts for the sport steering wheel (tiny air bag and aluminium 3 spoke design like the new R172 SLK).
If so, does anyone know how...
Hi,
wondering if anyone can help with this:
I managed to get a W203 steering wheel with paddles which I am going to get fitted to my W203. Steering wheel was pretty cheap but has a couple of very minor tears / cuts in the leather. They are only very minor (the largest is about 2 to 3mm long)...
What's the best way to get aluminium paddle shifts for my W204 sport (like the C63) - not that bothered about the wheel but the plastic paddles look and fell cheap.
Hi guys, not entirrely sure this is the right place for this as its transmission related, but seems to fit better in here....
I'm about to take the plunge on a 2005 C350 SE Auto Coupe but as you all know, when buying second hand your kind of limited in the options dept, to what the original...
Hey all, I collect my E350 next week but it has just dawned on me that I never tested out the paddle shifters on either of my two test drives. There were so many other things to try out.
Do these offer any benefits over the standard auto shifting? I.e. is the shift any faster than normal or...
My C43 is fitted with the Racelogic Switchlogic Gearbox controller system, but unfortunately, it no longer works.
The system has buttons for changing gear on the reverse of the steering wheel which are meant to be engaged when the car is switched from summer to winter mode (on the...
Fitted paddles in place of the OEM buttons to my E55, this week, here's a couple of photos of the finished product. I'm not particularly hands on, but it was pretty painless, followed dvb247 linked instructions, and with additional help/advice from Alps. I did have local MB remove and replace...
Hi all i've got a '09 W204 C200K with the 4 spoke steering wheel and I ran across this
W204 C-Class 07+ AMG C63 Carbon Steering Wheel shifter:eBay Motors (item 400096004919 end time Feb-06-10 03:39:21 PST)
Now I've searched thru the forum but not seen anything abt retrofitting the W204 model...
Hi,
I am thinking of changing my current SLK230 for a 7g gearbox SLK350 and would like to know if the paddle (or button) shifters on the steering wheel are standard or on the option list.
If anyone has the buttons, do you use them or think they are worthwhile?
Cheers for any info.
I have a 7G auto CLK with paddles on the wheel. When I select M mode, changing between 2 and 3 is a "slammer" in both up and down. All other changes are sliky smooth. I will check my speeds, but as I am coming down 6,5,4,3,ouch,2 I imagine I am at a reasonable speed< estimate 30kph. It is always...
This one had not been planned at all. It all started when Wully sent me a link to the "popular auction site" with a Paddle shift steering wheel at a silly buy it now price that could not be refused!!! Without thinking about it I had bought it and it arrived within 3 days.
I set about removing...
