1999 C43 AMG Salvage Repairable CAT D

Come on Olly , its a monster black C55 , what more do you want ?

Get up to Brum , have a peek , take the money with you and bring the beast home ... ;)

I need the my cash for other things (another ramp and more tools etc). I could not afford to buy it on my own. HINT

I need to go on holiday at some point too. I have to save for that also.

You can go on holiday any time , this surely is a one time opportunity ;)

I'd love to go in on it , but i have less than no money ....

At the very worst , buy it , fix it up and sell it for a profit after a year hooning around in it ... ;)

Go on , you know you want it ....

lol, i think im gonna save my money and get a proper 211 E55 Komp in a few years time, it`ll cost me £3500 to run it petrol wise at the moment! lol

Sell your girls car and get that one. Simple lol

If anyone's interested in shared ownership cars they should have a look on the Northloop forum - there are a number of people there who share track day cars built specifically for the Nurburgring

I suspect it'd work OK so long as the co-owners had the same expectations of the car and each other and they started out as friends. Whether they'd end up still being friends would be another story...

That said, a mad MB for track days would be fun!

Subject of the "Buy Now"..........Too late...............too much talking..........unless its someone from here ?

it would be interesting to know if it was someone from the forum!

lol, just checked and the buyer has 50 % positive feedback with 1 positive!

We know it isn't a genuine C55 , as it has the S/C engine ...

A w202 C55 came with the N/A engine ...

That car is pretty much useless. The ECU and EIS need to be coded for drive authorisation. As far as I know they cannot be recoded so must be ordered from germany chassis specific. Not knowing the info of the donor car, this is going to be very difficult. Not to mention you cant test the engine, if that has running issues you've just flushed your money down the drain buying it. Very high risk!

IMO, someone attempted the conversion, never got it running right so decided to do an insurance job on it. If anyone of us spent the time and money doing a conversion like that we would have bought it back from the insurers at any cost.

looks like a cover to me too, never know tho, anyone live in birmigham fancy having a look?

Alps

Wasn't there a guy in east london who put the 55k engine in to a C43?

Its not that car is it?

lol, mambo, your talking abt Henry right.. pretty sure its not his car, his was on british plates for a start, and he also had a custom exhaust on his.

as Akash says, it would be a mare trying to get hold of an ESU for that engine!

Ollie should be able to confirm?

My guess is that the ECU was 'liberated' whilst at Universal Salvage (probably along with lots of other nice bits). I wonder why he's still using the auction pics if he now has the car?

It must be worth a few bob in parts surely?
