Well Roger Moore's memory must be going, it was him who said it when interviewed.

The Volvo Owners club also states that Roger Moore's personal car was used for filming too, although it had a red interior, whereas the other one supplied at the same time had a black interior, they also claim ST1 is on a mini in London though.
