Best options for sealing new Calcite White paint?

Do those of you with white cars regret buying that colour? I am beginning to worry as to whether I have made a sensible choice for my ordered E coupe!!

Certainly not. As long as you are regular with keeping your car clean, no problems with a white car. If you think you will struggle, then pay someone to do it for you or buy a grey car!

My only concern is the hosepipe ban coming into force :wallbash:

no worries! Don't use a sponge for starters they will retain grit etc so will scratch or swirl your car.. best thing to do is have a read here: Car Care Advice | Detailing Advice | Polished Bliss and then you'll see the best ways to wash your car

Thanks for this...it was a really good read! I shall be buying my mit and collinite soon! Any recommendations where from? Ebay was looking a decent price, a mite was about £7 and the collinite about £14

cleanyourcar.co.uk, ultimatefinish.co.uk etc. Best to order your microfibre mitt, foam applicator pads and microfibres for drying/removing product whilst you are there.

Is there a difference between a lambswool mit and a microfibre one (other than being made from different material... :) )

Ordering an extra bin from the council and connecting it to my garage drainpipe was the best thing I have done all winter!

Asda do a cracking microfibre mitt for £2, its as good as any of the other dearer mitts.

Thanks for that, however I have just ordered a Meguiars lambswool mitt and some collinide from perfectly cleaned they had it at a very good price, I emailed them and they gave me a discount code as well!

PM me if anyone wants the code.

He's going to give you the line about it being acid rain water. That may have been an issue 40 years ago, but not now.

I tested mine with a Ph meter and it was almost perfectly neutral.

I thought I was going to have to buy a really big umbrella for my car for when it rains.

I'm impressed, where do you live!!!

Almost decided to have Diamondbrite nano sealant on my new calcite white coupe. I had reckoned on shortly afterwards adding to the depth of shine by using Collinite 476 but my detailer says it really is not necessary at all.
