...and this is why you shouldn't drive tired. Misjudged the curb and did a good job scratching pretty much the full circumference of the wheel.
Anyone any idea if that's repairable and what kind of bill I might expect?

I went into the MB dealer yesterday and they gave me 5w-40.

What they couldn't tell me though is where I can see the oil level other than the dipstick.

Anyone know if it's in one of the menus ?

You will always have to get your hands dirty - just the traditional flexible dipstick.

I feel your pain .... having kerbed all 4 of my 19inch wheels on my last car (BMW 5 series ) I kinda just accepted it was inevitable with such low profile tyres and tight parking spaces with those damn kerbs. The damage doesnt look too bad - price to repair depends on how professional you have it repaired, anywhere from £50 to £150 per wheel.

One thing I have learned, I can never, ever have another car without 360 camera - it has already saved me kerbing my 350e wheels several times , why oh why is our power outlet at work so awkward to park next to, god only knows - i cant moan too much as free electric is a gift. 360 camera is genuinely essential to my ( lazy, rubbish, call it what you want ) parking ....

Ready for our trip to France!

it's amazing how ruthless the missus can be with the holiday packing when space is a premium ( and no I am not being sexist, I am simply not allowed to pack since I do a rubbish job )

Absolutely! I have to park - literally - to the inch as my narrow drive runs alongside my neighbour's equally narrow drive between our two walls. It can be done the old-fashioned way by rubber-necking and using mirrors but I love being able to confirm that I've got it right by seeing where the wheels are. 360° camera is as indispensable as Distronic, HUD and several others of the Bells and Whistles. And I hope that I'll never "Kerb" another wheel....:)

Which driving mode have you been using ?

Hybrid in Comfort, of my 21 mile drive to work around 14 miles is flat motorway. I use a mix of Distronic / nothing with generous use of coasting at around 70mph to75mph, without aircon and with the sunroof open. Last mile or 2 I switch it out of Hybrid and into E-DRIVE to eek out the last few miles ( as someone on here said, they can outsmart the car everytime as to which is the most efficient mode for a journey)

If I have a quick burst of S+ ( which sometimes I need for fast flowing junctions ) it drops to around 75mpg to 85mpg - but on a good run, 99.9mpg both ways ( 21 miles each with a full charge at both ends ) - clearly its only JUST 99mpg, i'm happy as in my original calculations i only needed 26mpgfor the 350e to cost the same as a 320d (tax and difference in fuel ).

I've been driving my 5 series today to get some new tyres, i have to say whilst i love many things about the 5 series I did really miss the 350e, in particular the distronic

This looks repairable. Expect to pay min £80 for a diamond cut repair. Downside is that you can generally only have them done twice before they become unrepairable- unlike paint finished or powder coated wheels, they cannot be filled. Hth.

Washed and waxed, looking beautiful in the sunshine.

Thank you. Debating to wait until closer to end of lease as there's a good chance that this won't be the last damage.

If you trying to maximise your range at motorway speeds, I think it will be better to have the climate on auto and the sunroof closed.

probably, im just happy to get 99.9mpg of each leg of the 21 mile commute - it probably wont last long, as I do have to take some self control of the right foot as i am not normally someone who drives in the first or second lane of the motorway for long.

Am I the only person who puts a little plastic bag over the (open) charging cap and flap to protect them from getting wet when it rains ? surely closing the wet cap that goes over the charge point socket is not a good idea ? it must let water ingress into the wiring ?

I'm not. My view is that I've bought a £40k+ car so I can expect it to work without having to put plastic bags over things to stop them from getting wet. If it does, they'll get it back and fix it.

I would hope you are. That's one small step away from wearing socks with your sandals.
:D

Just keep the drain holes clear. If you polish the inside of your flaps :p with some Gummi Pflege Stick the water will bead off.

Same for me. Take this a step further and we wont be driving the car at all in case the vibration causes the car to fall apart..!

Anyone noticed a marked improvement in range this week.
The last couple of days I have managed 2-3 miles increase (from 12 inc 0 range and electric only) to this morning doing 12 miles with 3 spare, so will probably get another 4-5.
It is a shame if it is only down to the current weather.
