bearing mind your symptoms I would be looking hard at 80 A0005002300 pump or maybe 30 A0005002340 switchover valve

Interesting! Is this a component only found in the hybrids or is used elsewhere?

It appears to be used in quite a few MB models as an auxiliary circulation pump-- main engine coolant/ intercooler/ auxillary heater--????? not sure its function may vary from model to model . Made by Continental I believe altho there will be aftermarket pattern parts from other makers also I imagine. If its mounted low down it might be subject to road debris/water ingress?

Hi all

Is anyone else seeing the message "SOS Not Ready" in red on the display?

Thanks,

M

Yes, I get that most of the time.
I don't know if it's my car, or a problem at the SOS centre.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Can I ask the age of your car? I'm trying to understand whether it is connected to a subscription scheme, location, service plan or anything else!

The car is from November 2015.
Mine worked, didn't work, worked after a satnav reboot at the dealers, and now doesn't work again.

Does anyone else ever notice the Roadside Assistance and MB Info buttons in the overhead panel light up red every now and again?
I can't find anything online as to why this would happen?

Yes! This catches my eye once in a while but I have no idea why it does it!

Not noticed that. Not saying it hasn't done it though! 'No service' warning maybe?

Surely just reflects whether a mobile phone network and GPS reception are both available. One to make contact with the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center and the other to tell them where you are. I would assume a lack of either might trigger a warning?

Did anyone find a definite answer to what the double beep warning is. I get this on my 2017 GLC it’s definitely not the blind spot warning as the vehicle is not fitted with lane assist. There is no visual warning given just a double high pitch beep
Don’t think it’s collision warning either as this also shows as a red triangle on the dash.

Hi there. I have had my company car for 7 months now and past 12,500 miles this week. On the whole I have been pleased with it and averaged 41mpg on the long journeys and achieved something like 7-13 miles when around town on electric. I have the basic sport entry level with the lane guidance/blind spot assist package only. I have never used the lane guidance feature properly but I appreciate the blind spot assist even though with the door mirrors and my seating position there is no blind spot.
I have a few questions that I am hoping someone can advise:
1) Driving in the snow recently I have found the windscreen washer to freeze very easily and I thought they were meant to be heated. How do these operate? Do they have to be turned on somewhere? Or are they not present without additoinal packages?
2) I have had several times an error message saying the radar sensors are not functioning and need cleaning. Where are the radar sensors?
The manual just talks about sensors (presumably parking sensors) along the bumber
3) I notice there are cameras (presumably for the lane guidance) in the top centre of the windscreen. Has anyone been successful in using these as an alternative to a dash cam?
4) Finally what have people found to be best in the snow on untreated back streets - e mode (assuming sufficient charge) or ICE (excuse the pun)?
Thanks

I haven’t been out much, but I’m finding the windscreen is freezing without me switching the air on to the defrost setting. The ICE has been coming on automatically to start with, which has helped clear the windscreen.

I’d suggest the charge or save hybrid modes would keep the electric motor power to a minimum and eco would slow the throttle response, but I haven’t tested anything unusual.

Nothing would compete with winter tyres, but I haven’t taken in the expense or the difficulty of sorting that out on a lease car.

I’m finding the best configuration for the car is to leave it on the drive and take the Jeep.......

I’ll get me coat....

I found its best with ICE, Sport+, oh and it you go on youtube you can put it rolling road mode, which removes all traction control if you are stuck. Though make sure you enable it afterwards from the the menu on the trip computer when your out of your sticky situation overwise it goes sideways all day long :)

Hi,
I'm hoping to collect my used 350e Sport Premium from a dealer this week - first registered March 2017. I've tried to find out some information from this thread but only got to page 50 so far! Would someone be able to answer a few questions please?

What things should I expect to find in the car which may have gone walkies / been forgotten to be put back in?
2 charge cables, luggage net, either a handle or sunglass case for above drivers door, audio cables? That sort of thing, anything else??
I've in theory been given access to the car remotely to Mercedes Me Connect and can see I have been given 3 years access (mostly) to 16 services. How do I use them? Logging onto Mercedes Me from my PC and selecting the car I can for example click on Parked Vehicle Locator however it opens a screen just showing Trip Computer (does nothing) and Further Information (shows the service active and describes it), similar for other options, although the Geofencing option opens another window which only gets as far as please wait followed by App could not be initiated.

Is there anything else I should watch out for or check are done in advance of my collection (it needs a service so I'll request a software update be done as part of that).

What happens if you are e.g. in Hybrid or EMode and use the downshift paddle, what mode does it go into? Sport? Sport+?

Loads of useful information here, but too much to digest quickly!

Thanks,
Jeddy

You should get:
- public charging cable
- charger with 3 pin plug and built in cable
- locking wheel nut, pump, tyre gloop
- handbook
- two keys

Easiest way to access Mercedes Me is from an app on a smartphone.

Gearshift paddle will keep you in the same mode, but will start the ICE.
You can't manually change gear and remain in electric.

Thanks! I'd forgotten about the handbook and pump / tyre gloop didn't even occur.

Aha, Mercedes Me has suddenly started working on my phone (it wasn't before). 10% charge! o_O Vehicle is locked though. :) The last journey was 0m at 3.3mpg so I'm guessing this didn't start working until the car was started after I'd activated the service. Consumption showing as 56.5mpg over 8k miles - someone was using the charger. :) Also the next service is 5/3/19 so it looks like they've just done the service today. :)

Not sure I understand the paddles yet, a bit of a play required I think. e.g. if I'm in battery only mode and use the paddles, I can't remain in battery only mode as the engine is now started. I find the online manual difficult to navigate - give me a book any day. Easier to work out what I've already read.
