C350e owners club

GOT IT! A whole month before initial predictions. After a 2hr40 marathon of signing papers and being instructed with wife/navigator about the car by salesman we drove home through the rush hour punch drunk! Lovely...

We're already C-class veterans but this is going to be different. Only comment so far about earlier topics is that both charging cables work as they should. The 13A domestic cable charges at 12.3A (measured) with insignificant heating of the plug or cable. I'll reserve any further findings about fuel consumption and computer glitches until I've got useful data. Outside air temperature working fine. This could be a nice relationship.

Congrats :thumb:

Thank you! The windows look dark in the photos but they're clear. And the beige upholstery fits nicely with the paint.

It's the PP Sport with all the options except the smelly aircon but including the pano roof and therefore 18" wheels. Had a great time with the menus today. Already living up to the reputation of a computerised brain teaser. Couldn't lock it until I'd leaned into the cab and pressed the start button on and off; then it let me lock it. Still got to connect to the Web but then there's plenty of time. As I "do" computers, I don't easily get phased when they throw a wobbly. I expect they'll be plenty more wobblies.

I really am very pleased indeed!

Great stuff, looks lovely. I'm also a certified gadget freak and I find all the menus/options/features quite overwhelming! :)

Finally took delivery of mine today.

Tenorite grey estate with privacy glass, ILS and open pore black ash. Only done 100 miles so far but loving it already :thumb:

In preparation for my delivery on 20th April, I've just been browsing the Mercedes guide app - again - and stumbled across a section describing the 'Belt Adjustment' function. Is this a standard feature and if so, of any use??

Congrats. Sounds like the same spec as mine, although not sure about ILS, was that an option? I guess mine doesn't have it as I don't have high beam assist. I think they are LED as standard though??

Got mine today, PP saloon in brilliant blue, all options except smelly 360 and 18s. Nearly stuffed it into a roundabout fiddling with the settings, lucky it's got big brakes lol. HUD pretty good once I adjusted its height, burmeister sound system is great, fuel consumption ****e, but we know that anyhow.

Can anyone beat this with a lower number?

So a reasonably big trip today started with full tank and 11mile charge, over 200 miles 95% motorway on adaptive cruise control between 70-80mph.

I'm not too bothered, love the car and have co. fuel card so no anxiety for me but anyone thinking of buying to go eco and save on fuel might want to rethink.

See photo OK a full load on roof (bikes) and inside but pretty impressive either way anyone gone Lower on a big trip, with approx 40 left in the tank this equate to approx 260 mile for a full tank

Goes to show that the C350e is the most overrated and overhyped car of our generation!!
Of course IMO..

Haven't got the hang of uploading photos yet! Trying again!
I'm very happy with performance and quality. Fairly happy with economy. I commute 50-60 miles, 5 days a week, about 80-85% on motorway. Getting just over 50mpg on those days. Overall getting about 46 mpg, which probably equates to about 37 mpg if I factor in charging cost and current fuel prices. I do agree however that the official mpg figures of most hybrids maybe misleading. C350e is a fantastic car

I think I posted a photo of it the other week but a 200+ mile trip back from Sheffield my C250d yielded 68.9mpg. I was only two up with luggage but a range of 260 miles for a full tank would be a bit too inconvenient for the type of trips I make and that's where the difference kicks in for me.

I'd love to shave more off my bik but maybe the c300h would be a better bet (or the new e version if it arrives). Failing that the Tesla could give me the same range for more of a bit more of a drive.

I had looked at the c350e, but discounted it due to the long lead times being quoted.

I think the c350e is only ever a worthwhile buy as a company car due the BIK benefits. Even then, i'd suggest that you'd also need private fuel benefit to make it worthwhile.

As it is I ordered the c300h, which even though I have private fuel benefit means I will lose out on BIK - but on the other hand, it is a lot cheaper than a standard diesel equivalent car as the 99g/co2 uses the Petrol BIK percentages saving 3%.

Wow 24mpg is C63 territory!

I agree that the c350e is high quality etc but you'd get that from a c250 cdi and with better mpg, same performance, bigger boot, just as refined. I believe Autocar reviewed the c350e and gave it 3.5 stars out of 5 which is about right IMO.

That's deadful! This was my old clk with the 3.2 - not exacly famous for good fuel consumption.

Is there an elephant in the room, here?

I've taken to driving in Sports mode virtually full time and I still get nearly 40 MPG, guessing the full load of bikes on the roof made quite a difference :)

Woah... 40? I'm on 27.7 and I drive in eco most of the time!! Tis really quite awful. Was expecting 45 to 50 with battery used alot. (And 35 to 40 on the engine)
