C350e owners club

I ran and ran it when it was in the reserve as I wanted to push it as far as I could, eventually the last white bar on the petrol gauge starts to flash so I figure I must be really low right now, pulled up at a petrol station to fill up, I couldn't believe it when I could only put 43.7 litres of petrol in it! :wallbash: As someone who likes to run off a full tank and fill up with as much as possible, this quite annoyed me.

Wow 445 miles, and good to know how the car really tells you to get full after the fuel light and stopping reporting range.

Someone had to do it, and thanks for your willingness to risk the AA man!

You can check in the Mercedes Me app as well, I've had the flashing white bar and ignored it for a little bit...checked the app and saw I was down to 3% in the fuel tank. Although I still only managed to get about 45 litres in :s

Be careful running it really low, was running late for a meeting with the fill up now warning on but figured I had about 10 miles left after taking into account the last visible reading. Got to my meeting OK but when I went to leave got a message low fuel ice disabled , low power mode activated no matter what I did could not get ice to kick in. Would not be an issue but battery was at 10% and charge now as well. Luckily garage was only a mile up the road so made it.still could not get 50ltrs in.

I was on fuel warning for the first time the other day. I couldn't believe the range dropped out. I didn't notice a white flashing bar either (must check that next time).
When I got to the garage I managed to put 47.5 ltrs in to the brim.

I also had this and switched into Sports mode until the ICE kicked in, was fine after that until I fuelled.

Chargin' in The Rain (but no Singin' or Dancin')

I wouldn't knowingly put the car on charge in the rain (no garage or car port) but there is always the risk of being caught out.

Anyone had the misfortune to find the cable and car soaked in rain? (the Charge-point can cope). Was there any problem with RCD trips or anything else? I assume that there is a draining system around the car's socket for water to escape?

Charging results:

Charge point mode 3: Charged at 14.4A for about 1½hr. Mercedes.me sent e-mail to tell me the car was fully charged but the current flow continued at 14.5A for about 10min before dropping to zero. I suspect that the low current (it should be 16A) is due to the voltage drop at the end of a long cable run. I'll be checking this in the future.

Domestic mode 2: Charged at 12.5A for about 1¾hr. Same result with e-mail etc.

Not a lot of point in going to the expense and trouble of getting Charge Point fitted for a vehicle that limits the current to such a low figure. But there will almost certainly be a more capable vehicle along in the future.

See MFD screen-shot. The mpg is the going rate for such a short journey depleted a full HVB in the process. So nice to see but nothing to be excited about. I expect that for a long journey the mpg would gradually drop to reflect the increasing influence of the petrol consumption.

Love the comfort and handling; and the view is better than I expected. Going to be a delight - once I find out how to start and stop it first time!

Just filled mine up for the first time. Fuel gauge was on the last segment and only managed to get 43 litres in. Also averaged 47.8mpg over 447 miles, fairly happy with that.

Let's just say the first time I encountered problems charging it was a wet rainy day and even though the socket was bone dry when I unplugged (after the socket had tripped and wouldn't reset) it never charged from a socket since.

My car was in the garage yesterday for replacement parts and is charging again so I think I'll be taking the cautious route of not charging in the rain again until my confidence returns.

S111dpc That's decent mpg according to recent posts, what mode and charge status was that with?

Ordered my estate on 22nd Jan and got the call yesterday to say it's in the country! Originally quoted an 12th May :-D

It was a mixture of settings as I've been playing around. In the main though I would say it was Hybred & Comfort. I'd do quite a number of short journeys at the weekend where I can mostly run on Leccy. Longer journeys are coming in around the 45mpg mark. I'm tending to drive economically at the moment but I'm no saint and have tried the S+ a few times!

When did you order?

When did you order?

Put it through the leasing system at work the same day! Although took about 2 weeks for the dealer to call and confirm all the details from then on.

Won't hold my breath for an early delivery mind

Well, apparently after charging mine yesterday, i *ahem* may have accidentally left both charging flaps open all night in the pouring rain....:fail

No errors reported on Mercedes Me, but will have to wait a few days to find out if there is any lasting damage.

Mine is here - hooray! The wait from June is over.

Every one - even the air balance!

Oh my... Not that i'm criticizing at all, but for the cost is it worth it?
I'm assuming a few bottles of smelly stuff and some extra vents (and some gadgety goodness to spread it out?) - how often do you have to top if up? (if you know yet?)

Sounds amazing with all that gadgety awesomeness though!

We shall see - I suspect the ionisation is more useful than the smelly bit. It comes with five different smells to try although you can only load one at time. Refills seem to be the price of a bottle of Chanel so hope they last!

Can't comment on air balance (only box I didn't tick) but the driver assistance package is awesome ...

Traffic jams are effortless now ... Sit back and watch the car steer and keep pace with the car in front
