C350e owners club

I forgot to mention that when my fuel went down to 1 bar on the display on Sunday and I'd had a full overnight charge, upon starting the car I received a message on the dashboard saying 'emode only available - refuel immediately' or words to that effect. It was displayed in red.

Didn't someone else have this and describe a method of fixing it? I've tried a search but can't find it, but I think I remember that by switching modes back and forth the error message could be got rid of.

But it didn't fill the petrol tank at the same time, unfortunately.

Got in the car this morning and it was showing 15 miles. As usual, dropped down to 14 as soon as I moved.
My journey to work is 12 miles, and for the first time, in Hybrid mode I drove all the way to work on Electric (except for the last 200 yards, but that involves going round Hanger lane in west London). No miles left, but still 20% charge on the battery.
Hopefully as it gets warmer, this will get better.

I don't think I've ever seen 15 mile even straight off the charge !

12 usually and goes straight down to 11 as soon as I switch the ignition on ... really hoping an increase in temp helps.

Thats odd, as smine has started going up. Usually 13 off charge, jumps to 17 within a mile or so, and sooometimes up to 18 /19. But pretty much instantly drops to 14/15 after a mile or so.

I find that i can inflate it oddly by jumping into eco & e-save straight after a charge and roll as much as possible.... I think it then re-calculates based on that and creeps up. As soon as you start using electric properly it drops though.

The lowest I've had my battery down to is 9% so it does keep going for a bit longer.

Just charged mine, (only the 4th time) in the garage straight after work, so it's sitting fairly cosy in it's own warmth, now showing 16 miles, will drop quickly on start up tomorrow. Was pleased with 66mpg this morning over 33 miles to work. Engine off half the time. Mixed Mway and country roads, Ave speed 37 mph.

Hi, is the MPG figure for the ICE only? Using your numbers for example, 16.5 miles @ 66 mpg with ICE running, then 16.5 miles on the battery? Or is it a combined figure?

Noticed the gearbox snatching a bit in EDrive yesterday at start of trip but it smoothed out as the journey went on. I'm only about 350 miles in so far so I'm not getting anxious about that sort of thing yet.

Love your Estate Boot liner. I'll have to stick to a tatty bit of blue plastic tarpaulin for the moment....

We have a few at work and most people seem to comment on it being a little rough at low speed..

The boot liner and well an estate in general has been amazing for the dog coming from a saloon where she used to ride around in the passenger footwell!

They have them online now here : Mercedes C Class Estate C350e (PHEV) (2016-Present) Quilted Waterproof Boot Liner - Premier Products

My average MPG from new has settled around 44.5 but I've done over half of it with the engine off to while running on petrol it's been doing 22ish eak!

Mercedes me problems

As winter has returned here up north, the pre climate feature has become a must before leaving home in the morning. However, using the (web)app I have a very low success rate over the last few weeks. It sits there thinking about it for minutes and then usually times out.

I checked the App Store and there is now a proper app there but that has far less functionality (no pre heat) and only works in km. so that's out.

Are you guys experiencing the same problem? Anyone got a solution or workaround? :dk:

Mine seems to work most of the time from the web app. As a backup you could set pre-heat on key within Vehicle Settings (I think). Just open the car and close it again and it will start the pre-heat process.

Mine seems to work best while the car is actually charging. Like it's constantly communicating to report charge status. Set the pre entry and it works a treat. If car is fully charged or not charging at all it is very hit and miss!!

Has anybody who has had their car for a few months successfully managed to have the temperature added to their dashboard?
we had another 350e delivered yesterday, and it shows, but even after my car being in the garage for 7 weeks, with all the software updates, it is still not showing.

After a quick chat with the excellent Parts Manager at Mercedes Chelmsford he worked with Sales and Technical teams booked my car in and did a software update. External temp. now shows on the bottom right hand corner of the Mileage & Trip screen.

I find that very occasionally coming up to a roundabout, the transmission gives a bit of a clonk as its seems to disengage, pretty sporadic but definitely noticeable!

had mine for about 6 weeks now, for the first 4 weeks there was no external temp on the dash, then 2 weeks ago it just magically appeared!

Just had the car delivered today. :) :) :) So much to learn. Quick question if you can help, I have registered Mercedes Me with the dealer and it appears to be working but the climate control option only appears when I use a PC and not on the App for the phone. Is that right?

It's been one of those days.... The Mrs just had a bollard experience! Oooops!

Just had a sit-in learning session to unravel a few more mysteries after four weeks ownership. The climate control will work from the App on an iPhone or iPad in both Timed and immediate modes. But you have to be patient as it takes ages to communicate with the car. It even worked with the iPhone as I sat in the car. I've only used it once with a timed departure that I set-up using the iPhone. Have now enabled the "activate with key" function so that even with Start/Stop button installed, climate control worked from a single press of the unlock button of the key.

This is some weird but wonderful car...! Hope you're going to enjoy it as most people here seem to.
