Keep us posted Quonker! I'm interested to see exactly what the unit connects to. It looks like it has some sort of in-line breakout cable arrangement.

Can't get the bloody sat nav to sync with 'Eco' mode, which is kind of annoying.

Still though, the warm weather is doing wonders for the battery life. Yesterday it said a 17 mile range on the battery and it actually did 17 miles! I'm not sure why but the hotter the better for the battery life. I know that when the car is heating with the electric heater it's going to drain the battery but I can't understand why when it's 25 degrees outside and the air con is on full blast it seems to increase the battery life.

Two weeks of glorious weather & the day I get my car it hammers down!

First impressions I am loving it though. Boy it moves!

Controls a bit too complicated at the moment. Coming from a 62 eclass, hopefully I will get a grip of it all soon and work out the shortcuts!

That SOS button is much too close to the sunglasses holder

Just choose a destination in Comand and put the agility select into Eco.

It will then adjust the drive mode as you go. You notice it most on longer trips when it will charge the battery while on the motorway and will ensure you have electric miles for the town/city.

Think I read earlier in this thread about issues with Comand Online and O2 not working.

Was hoping that would not be the case but my Sony Z3 on O2 didn't work for the apps but I've managed to sort by installing a free app from the Play Store named 'Bluetooth Tethering On Off'.

Very simple and literally on/off function

Hi Stokieuk - I can't help with the O2 question but yes, a visit to your dealer with your V5 will turn it on. It's worth registering your email address and VIN on the connectme website beforehand - you can test whilst still at the dealer that way.

I had issue with 02 and iPhone 6. I rang them and they sent a reset for my APN settings and vpn. You must have it also set up with tethering on the network, they should do this for you. It now works as it should.

It arrived on Saturday morning as planned but installation was too daunting.

There are two plugs that need to be removed and connected to the chip box, the first is accessible but the second is under the charge cooler which you have to remove and I didn't fancy this.

The instructions are basically just photos.

I rang TDi Tuning and have arranged to have them fit it week after next when I can be near Chelmsford on business.

It looks a quality unit and technical support was available over the phone but to be honest I didn't want to be dismantling things that potentially I might not be able to get back together and as fitting is free is a bit of a no brainer.

They threw in a 200 mm extension lead which would allow easier removal in future for servicing etc.


Spoke to their tech director again who said the C350e is perfect for tuning with the huge amount of torque from the motor and the ease of uprating the BHP from the engine, can't bloody wait!

Well had the C350e for 2 days and absolutely loving it! The cabin, the ride, the performance all great. Well worth the 6 1/2 month wait!

6.5months... is that all I ordered back in mid-january and was told to expect it mid July.

I received an update from the lease company this week advising I shouldn't expect it to arrive until late september, and even that was an estimate which may slip further.

Sorry to hear that, the leadtimes are all over the place, i ordered mine, a PP Saloon in Brilliant Blue with every option in mid Jan, initially got a ETA at the end of May whilst a work mate ordered a little earlier than me and was advised mid June - we were both then advised a delay to 22nd July and the other week I've just been advised mine will be 7th July. You never knows, yours might get pulled forward.

For the first time I actually saw a 350e in the flesh ( it was parked next to me when i cam back from the shops ) I dont normally have a good gawk at someones car no matter what the marque but i did this time. I've also seen several BMW 330e's although none in M Sport livery, just boring SE
