C350e owners club

Hi, has anyone taken the step and had the c350e remapped or tuned I'm looking into it and can see ziptuning do it but can't find anyone in uk and tri tuning do it, anyone have any experience of having there c350e tuned?

Also interested in this. Normally i tune every car, but this one has me puzzled.

I am just concerned that adding more torque to a big torque number may damage the gearbox
 
6.5months... is that all :) I ordered back in mid-january and was told to expect it mid July.



I received an update from the lease company this week advising I shouldn't expect it to arrive until late september, and even that was an estimate which may slip further. :crazy:

A colleague ordered an identical car in November, delivery was estimated in March and was actually completed in May.

Also, lease orders seem to be slower than purchases.

I have had mine since mid April. Ordered in June 2015. So feel your pain.

It has been worth the wait. About 2000 miles in now and had my first free charge on M5 yesterday so still having some new experiences.

The lease companies are tough negotiators and have preferred dealers so have to go with the build slots that are available to them which leads to longer wait times.

I have still only seen 2 other C350e since last August.

Just to give you a quick update Water Ingress fault finally fixed and had the car back after 6 weeks, apparently Mercedes are only building new looms as and when, hence the delay.
 
Help... I need some advice from my fellow 350e owners!

Ordered via Lex as company car a cavansite blue, premium plus with black ash trim and took delivery of the car today.

They only gone and botched my order and deliver the spec above but with brown wood trim.

Any advice on how to proceed as I've waited 6 months for this but would prefer to have the black wood trim over the brown.

Would MB be able to correct it if I asked for it to be sent back or do I have to live with it and argue the point with Lex for a rebate for the cost of the extra ?

Would appreciate any advice from someone who's been in a similar situation.

We had a car delivered with the wrong interior. I think these cars are so popular that if you cancelled the order they would re-sell/re lease it so quickly.
We got compensated for the car arriving incorrectly.

Lex will offer you the cost of the mistake in retail high street vouchers.

You will still pay BIK tax and PUC for the term of the contract though so factor that price in as well if brown is standard and black ash a extra.

Our two lease models were ordered mid January, estimated early April and early May all the way through and then both delivered late April.

I have seen 1x saloon and 1x estate besides mine and my colleagues.
 
Had mine 2.5 months now and just done my first long run in it, 497mile round trip to Halifax. Only managed to charge before I left on Monday and then again a charge on the M5 coming home today. Averaged 45mpg overall sat with cruise on 75mph when not in 50mph zones!
 
Now 10 days into ownership and so far I think it's great, quite possibly the most relaxing car I've had.
The air suspension is fantastic, the technology is incredible and overall I'm really pleased I took the gamble of ordering "blind" never having even sat in one.
Admittedly I haven't had any of the problems I've seen in this forum yet so maybe that would change my view a little.
My outside temperature only shows on one of the trip screens as already documented but at the moment I really can't be bothered to explore the update to fix it.....eventually it may annoy me enough though.
One thing I have noticed though is that the calculated range on a full charge very much seems to depend on the driving "profile" the car learns from the type of journeys you make. When I first got the car the most it would show was 12 miles but after a couple of journeys where there was a better mix of urban and (flat) dual carriageway with periods of coasting etc this went up to 15 miles. A few days of urban stop start journeys then dropped the expected range back to 12.
For anyone thinking of it, I've had a Rolec charge point installed and am really glad I did, so far it has been going from zero to a full charge in just over an hour, I know that in reality it's not really at zero as it "saves" charge to assist in general driving but I'm happy with that.
I haven't been paying too much attention to the electricity cost yet but the smart meter that comes with the charge point install seems to show roughly 40p per charge.

unfortunately ive noticed i've got the dreaded OAT problem, i.e. its only displayed on 1 screen.

has this problem been fixed so it shows in ALL the screens? if so, how?

Also based on all the possible permutations & combinations, can anyone comment on what mode offer the best comprise of rapid pace and decent ride comfort

You can have OAT on the bottom right of the odometer screen in trip, that's it i'm afraid.

I'd say you would probably want to program the Individual settings to get what you are after, accessed by the car button in the centre console.

I have mine set to this on individual for the daily commutes:

Suspension = Comfort
Steering = Comfort
Engine = Eco
Haptic = On
Climate = Eco

This for me gives a good balance between eco and comfort modes as I don't like the Eco suspension, I flip up to Sport or Sport + as and when the needs arise...

You don't have the dreaded OAT problem - you have the fix. Originally OAT wasn't on any screens at all but is now on the one trip screen.

If you want comfort don't use Sport+ at all - gear shifts, even down shifts, are quite jerky. Eco is fine for most motorway and urban driving. If you want a rapid departure set it to Sport just for that and then change back.

I drive in Hybrid and Eco or Comfort most of the time with occasional use of Charge instead of Hybrid to give a quick boost when I know I have some slow traffic coming up or can't charge at an end point of a journey to a city. Sometimes have used E-mode to get two extra miles from the battery.

OAT on one screen is normal I think, mine arrived two weeks ago and the OAT matches that in my previous 2012 c250 CDI on main trip only

I have individual set as below as coming from a AMG model found suspension very soft

However used eco in conjunction with the navigation yesterday on a 300 mile trip and was very impressed with the auto charging on the motorway and automatic drag charge as it sensed cars in front very clever

Impressed with that economy over 75 miles. Not many people reporting over 50mpg. Only had mine two days and done short journeys, but very happy so far.

It's on the drive right now ready to charge overnight and I've just noticed it's raining. Please no water ingress problems here..

I wonder if anyone who has never charged theirs or only under cover ( say garage ) has had any problems with the wiring - i can't recall anyone on here saying their car had to go back to Mercedes with charging problems who had only charged under cover ( or not at all) - i will certainly be upset if after taking delivery of mine in 3 weeks that in a month or 2 after i have to leave it with Mercedes for 5 or 6 weeks to fix!
 
My ETA has been pulled forward 3 weeks from end of July to 8th July - I wonder which version I will get ( blue calipers or not ) - I asked my lease company to confirm before this latest pullforward change which model would i get, the dealer confirmed deliveries at the end of July would be the new model but now i'm not sure with it being 3 weeks earlier - does anyone know when Mercedes start production of the every so slightly updated model ? ( was it start of June or end of June ? )
