I enjoy cleaning my own car, I find it rather relaxing, although lately it has become rather a faff as they're building new houses opposite to where I live and the cars are becoming constantly dusty as a result. One chap in my street is out almost every night washing his A3 as a result of the dust. He's a school teacher though and it is the holidays so I suspect that will stop come September. ;)

I usually always wash my own car, i enjoy doing it :) Although every 3 months it goes to the detailer to get the ceramic coating reload and always comes back looking fresher than the assembly line, usually by the time i get to the small bits i cant be bothered :p so a detail every so often to get the exhaust tips and engine bay spruced up is a blessing

Always do it myself. Wouldn't trust anyone else with it, especially considering it's a black car...

Technically I’m between... see the benefits of paying someone I know to detail and protect it once then simply maintain it with safe washes and the occasion seal or wax

Always wash my own car, it's my time where I zone out and spend a stupid amount of hours keeping my pride and joy as immaculate as possible

At the moment, just get it washed, but intentions are to clean at home.....

At the moment, i have a large stash of cleaning gear gathering dust.

New (to me) car has hologramming on it, so needs a good once over with a machine polish if/when i get the spare time!! :(

Went out this morning to wash a car and to give it another wax coat, then thought......"may as well wash the other one before waxing the 1st one".

Washed the 2nd car. Actually tried it with snow foam (not convinced!). Thought that the 2nd car needs some polish, as could see the marks on the black paintwork. Tried 2 different hand applied and well respected products. But no where near happy. Dug out the DA (dual action electric polish machine) and suitable pads/polish to give a light cut before switching to polish. 4 hours later the 2nd car was ready (okay - I may have also cleaned the rubbers and sealed the rims). Finally, the first car got its coat of wax.

I actually enjoy it and find it relaxing, even if it is time consuming and hard work.

When I was a lad, I used my wash my dad's car and also the cars of all his mates.
I bought my first motor bike out of cleaning cars.
Perhaps that's why - these days - I'm quite happy to pay someone else to do it.

Yes, i am very anal with my car some would say too much (especially the wife and neighbours). I cringe when i see other car washers with brushes etc. I even have a large note which hangs off my rear view mirror which says in large bold letters DO NOT WASH THIS VEHICLE when it has to go into the dealer for a service etc.

I clean my car two or three times a week the alloys get cleaned after every drive I would let no one else clean it or drive it and it gives me a buzz when cleaned it is sad but true OCD I think
A man after my own heart, i am the same lol

You are not alone . Even then I walk around to the wash bay and "tell" the lads to only hoover the interior - they find it alien that I do not want a "free car wash".

They just dont get it do they

Love to get some foam on my beer belly and rub it on my car. Neighbours are a bit suspicious, but don't know why.
