I wash my own, SWMBO's also as she knows I will not trust her to do it right!

Never let other people touch mine. Car club Fridays! Clay bar and wax all the time. And definitely no to car washes!

Another one for hand wash - Clay once a year, usually just seal and wax.

If particularly lazy ill take the mrs car into an auto-wash, but i tend to steer clear of the £5 hand wash places

Sorry to hi jacked this thread, I seem to remember there was a video posted up a while back showing the local hand wash place dumping their sponges on the ground and jet wash the sponges, could someone bothered to dig up for me please.

I couldn't find it!!

Thanks in advance.

You looking for a a new car wash?

There was one on Detailing World showing a car wash chap with clothes on the ground getting jet washed! Cringeworthy.

I take my Saab to a car wash because it had over 130,000 miles of typical car washes and cost me 1200 quid so I'm not fussy.

I've been in there watching high end Audis, Mercs etc even a guy in a McLaren getting scratched, I mean cleaned haha

Never usually clean my own car. Just acquired a new GLE. The size of the car in itself puts me off but the thought of someone washing in some designer scratches means I will be doing it... For now at least. Had the car 2 weeks, car wash time rapidly coming up.

Once you give the detailing a try for yourself you may well find you catch the bug and will never let another soul touch the sacred surface of your beloved car again! There's nothing like a mint looking Mercedes!!

Do I wash my own car?

...neither do I do the cooking or washing :-)

Today, for the first time since I bought it, I let a friend wash my car with some special stuff that gets mixed into the water and put on with a jet wash. Nowhere near as good as when I do it, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

Wouldn't dream of letting anybody else wash my car anymore, the number of scratches Ive had from getting a 'valet' is untrue, not to mention wax on the windscreen and patting about with my seat settings (its got a manual back and forward why touch anything else!!!). Now once a week or fortnight (weather dependant) wash, polish, wax, interior clean.

Also I think when my car has been washed by me its faster, must be the car is lighter after a wash :D :D :D

I've found an excellent hand car wash so they now wash mine it's only a fiver I then drive home and give it a polish.

I drive it to the hand car wash.......does that count ?

But I always drive straight home and dry it properly

After reading a thread today I thought it would be nice to see who cleans there own car and how and who does not and how ....I go to a hand wash /valetting and have a mini valet for £15 and I am all ways happy with job ..how about you guys

Not sure who washes my cars, I will ask the chauffeur.......

I always wash my car... I even wash my dad's when it is dirty...
Why spend money on something that easy and enjoying thing? No-one will care for your car like you do...

Only I wash my cars, I love it, so relaxing
