Engine bay picture needed for SLK R171

Hi all, can anyone put up an image of the air scoop/water drain that sits above the battery please. My friend has a SLK 55 amg (2005) and has noticed that his air scoop has a big hole that you could get your hands through, but looks to me that it should have some sort of leaf catcher filter in place.

Looked on Google images and EPC but there are no clear images to show if its normal, or he has something missing.

No, I think that is normal. Plenty of people on SLKworld have made a leaf catcher for it though

OK, Thanks. I will let him know but from the image he showed me it really doesnt look right.

Ill get him to have a look on SLKWorld.
