F1 2024

^ Not before time. Ocon needs reigning in before he seriously injures someone.
He has past form for aggressive moves on his team mates Alonso and Perez so its no surprise this has happened.
By all accounts Gasly and Ocon have no love for one another so the Team principle has to take action now.

I’m more worried that you paid monies to C4
The electricity needed to run my 200 inch Super Duper Extra Mega High Definition OOOOHLED SammySung tv ain't free, ya know :D

Just watching some historic racing from Monaco. They actually overtake!! 🤣🤣

I’m not sure what year it is but it’s great to watch and the bird presenting it is pretty fit as well.
I went Brands for the Historics on Sunday. The racing was marvellous, especially the pre-66 saloons. Minis on three wheels drifting through Paddock Hill Bend is a joy to watch. Such close racing and you can actually see the cars on the limit (or beyond in a few cases!). Even the Grand Prix cars you can see slide around. One of the McLarens ended up in the gravel. One of my favourite events of the year.

It was about as dull as it could be, happy for Charles to get his home win.

Shame he immediately shut down the Charles comment, a missed opportunity to be human and say something nice about someone else.

PS What was the team’s biggest weakness he referred to, was it Checo? 🤭

Max never/rarely compliments other drivers unless prompted to do so. He is very wrapped up in himself.

It was so boring, I didn't even bother to pause it whilst I got up to fetch a bottle of Leffe and a packet of Tyrells Lightly Sea Salted.
When I returned from the kitchen, the lead cars were pretty much in the same place on the track as when I left my seat. :p

I've just got around to finishing watched the Brawn GP story on Nat Geographic.
I have to say that it managed to capture what I have felt in motorsport a great deal better that the Netflix series without contrived 'rivalries' etc.
The fact that I knew some of the characters well may well have helped, but they were all portrayed exactly as I knew them. I actually shared a desk with Ross in 1990 when he came to TWR Jaguar and he comes over as exactly the same person as I knew (quite well!) just nine years prior to the time the film was set.
It really does get to tell the incredible story of Brawn F1 in a way that is perfectly credible for those who know what goes on in motorsport and allows others to get a great view of how it all actually works inside the teams.
As a motorsport person I was very impressed with the factuality, reality and the way the spirit of motorsport was laid bare to those outside.

So, just 16 former F1 drivers at Le Mans this year. Given I have run teams or cars on 16 occasions at Le Mans in the past it is hardly a surprise that I have run and got to know a fair few of them. Everyone of them different, but all very highly skilled racing drivers.
