F1 2024

It's the FIA and RBR I feel are at most fault.
Yep, you could say it's as racing as it should be you little snowflakes, shoulders out, touring car tactics, but they openly fawn to him.

They don't reel him in to the rules, the penalties have zero materiality and the team who pad his ego with credibility sucking lies (it was Landis fault) are no better than Trump lawyers.
What credibility do they have....?

That swerve into Lando after the corner incident itself should be a black flag.
Simples.

Good news for Bearman. Let's hope he lives up to what some say about him. I'm glad he got the seat and not Ticktum.

If the weather stays how it is this morning it'll make for a great qualifying and race with so many cars out of place. Fingers crossed it persists down

Going back to Max, I doubt other drivers will "show him" as they drive their own race but he does need some manners put on him, which should have been sorted back in 20/21. I find liberty partially to blame for this in the name of "the show" along with DTS Netflix show, which has recruited some fan bases alike with football supporters mentality.

I've a few friends at Silverstone and they were saying (the crowd) whenever they see or hear Horner they starting chanting our Gerrie, Gerrie and If you wanna be my lover. Something to do with Horners work colleagues relationship gone wrong I'd imagine :dk:

Looking back now I can see how composed Lewis was with his (Max) move or we crash antics and finale in AD. I think other drivers would have exploded. Hopefully this weekend will be a clean race and Horner won't have to send Albon round the track to re-enact the LH/MV corner move where Lewis put MV in hospital when he tried to murder Max 🤪 At least Albon in doing so, never got to parking a car on a drivers head ......

Ticktum doesn't have the temperament to function in the top-tier of motorsport. If I was a sponsor, I'd be quite uncertain about putting my money behind him.

Not me my friend. I went to Silverstone for a lot of years as some years ago I was sponsored by Petronas. Corporate hospitality is an awesome thing when it includes chauffeurs, helicopter rides in/out and free alcohol :)

I'd begrudge paying the OTT prices they charge for everything associated with the British GP nowadays. From memory, it works out cheaper to do some of the other European venues.

Though I've never been, I understand that Spa used to be quite reasonable and I think Barcelona was too. Since Liberty got involved, I think demand for tickets has increased and pricing has been adjusted to take advantage of that. Might have back-fired a bit for Silverstone this year.

When we lived just down the road, we used to go to Silverstone for practice and qualifying, then watch the race on TV. Could hear the cars from our house, but the cost and the chaos of being there on race-day never felt like good value.

Used to go to the 6-hours/1000km endurance race though. Always enjoyed those weekends.

Spa is one of the best, if not the best venue out of the whole lot in my opinion and reasonably priced. The weather can be cruel but it really is a great track with plenty of screen coverage everywhere around the track. You must like walking up hills if you do a track walk but well worth it.

It is on my bucket list. Either the WEC round or an F1 GP. Seeing cars live going through Eau Rouge/Raidillon is something I'd like to do.

I'd also like to see F1 cars going through the swimming pool section at Monaco, so that's another item on the list.
