Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

I could never figure out out the difference between the saloon and the coupe. Was it just the roofline?

That was the most obvious difference between the two but there were others. For example, the saloon had a simpler twin-dial dash with no rev counter:

Whereas the coupe was better equipped with a six-dial dash:

Used to have one - 4 litre variant of the facelift. Amazing car - I'd have another any day.

TMW
At the show yesterday was a beautiful 4 litre XJS convertible in Sapphire Black.

We got talking to the owner and he turned out to be a chap called Grahame Vanderbilt who is a well known car dealer of our ‘hood.

My dad bought a Rover 600 from him back in the early 2000’s and my wife’s long lost father who was a well known auto electrician back in the day used to do some work for him.
The bloke remembered my wife when she was young.

The plate on the XJS is 54 GLV. Check its MOT history.

......but they were ahead of their time environmentally...........what with being almost completely biodegradable.....and it usually happening within the first decade!!!

Yeah, they were only just rubbish enough to win the 1984 European Touring Car Championship, the Spa 24hrs and the Bathurst 12hrs. 😂🤣

...but as a road car they were a bit of a challenge 😉
This one looks a veritable bargain, I do like them

Ooh

I do like a GT, a De Tomaso Longchamp would make for a nice pairing!
