Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Definitely a Dodge Charger, probably a ‘69.

I’d say 1969 was an amazing year to be alive.
6 points to that man!!....very similar to the 68 but the earlier one did not have the FUEL text. My favourite car of all time!!

There's something mechanically and asthetically pleasing about an alumin(i)um flip up filler cap
Unfortunately, because of its orientation it wouldn't pass an IVA inspection. (Sorry)

C3 'vettes had a similarly nice selection of gas caps.
Below are a few photos of a 1963 Vette on sale at a local shopping mall in Abu Dhabi - yours for a cool £165,000.
It indeed has a lovely fuel filler cap in centre of the boot deck.
Also behind it is a nice Camaro Z28 from 1969 which is a bit cheaper at £110,000.

Am overnight in Puteaux on the outskirts of Paris.
Don't mind, it's one of my favourite places
And it embraces British cars (yes really)

There is a ye-olde MG garage nestled away, I passed a pristine white Spitfire going into a car park, but strolled across this parked up in a side street

Thought something like that would be my ideal weekend toy when I first started looking for one, looked at a 4A and a 5 but was disappointed to find how much of the boot space was taken up by the rear wheel arches (wife does not travel light - ever!!) and how little right elbow room there was once you closed the drivers door, so looked elsewhere - and that's how my story with FE Porsches started, a friend was selling his 944 Lux, gave me the keys for a day - and I never gave them back! Had that for a year or so, but no vertical adjustment on drivers seat so wife would/could not drive it, so swopped it for a 944S (big mistake) and then the 968 tip coupe which we kept for 12 1/2 years (initially as main car!) and and when the time came to scratch the droptop itch, swopped the coupe for a 968 tip cabriolet which we kept for 8 1/2 years - and still miss like crazy 5 years after age and dodgy backs caused us to swop it (at a considerable profit!!) for the SLK280 we still have.

There’s a lovely red TR5 around my way somewhere.

Back in 1987 I was looking for an interesting car and looked at a TR8, Datsun 240Z, Triumph Stag with a Rover V8 conversion and ended up buying a bright yellow 1971 TVR2500M which had the Triumph 2.5 litre engine with twin carbs and overdrive.
Regret selling it now - as when years later I read the TVR history I discovered they made less than 100 of these cars with this engine.
Car was identical to the photos below - note the Cortina rear lights!

Another bike (if it’s allowed). Seen in Parga last night.

I’ve always liked these.
The 900 version was OK....just....but the puny 600, like that one, with a mere 53 horses could barely pull a sailer off ya sister....as they say!

Bro in Law had the 750ss version as his first bike on an 02 plate. Looked good and sounded good with the right pipes on but it wasn’t very quick.

It was soon chopped in for a 749.

Driving through leafy Wimbledon.

Note the serial number as well as the registration number on the back of the van.
