How loude is your horn

only asking.......only that my dad has a C180K 58 reg...and the horn makes a noise like..im sorry didnt mean to scare you.. its the weakest sound you can make it goes...paaaarp... sound like when you stand on a dogs squeeky toy

now he says he wont press it in case people laugh...no more road rage

tried mine ok makes big honking noise...

he wants to know how to make it better or get a replacement one fitted

Just find a quiet piece of road and keep on using it, they seem to go to rubbish if you don't use them enough

Our w163 ML makes a meep meep noise. Fortunately the w164 ML and w203 C sound much more manly!

The ones on my W124's and the R129 are both superb - deep, bassy, get-the-f***-out-the-way type horns. Sounds like the OP's dad's one may have dropped one of the horn units? They're mostly two-tone, so there's two "buzzers", for want of a better word. Should be dead easy to spot which one's dead.

Sounds like the twin horn isn't twin anymore.

This happened to my first W210. I was told that my father was driving my grandfather on a Cornish lane in it, where the locals sound their horn due to a bad blind bend. He was told off for not doing this. The horn was demonstrated, and my Grandfather said "don't do that again"!
