Very nice car indeed. I enjoyed the comical final photo, showing today's Daily Mail :)
But not sure I would ever admit to reading such tabloid press ;)

Before you ask, it was for the agreed valuation photos...:D:D

I think you should have a trial with clear lenses. You might get to like them once youve seen them in the flesh. (Don't worry about the number plate, its not the real one)

thanks lol

i dont read it.. purely the 50p price tag allowed me a cheap paper..

i dont buy papers as i get all my info online and on lbc.com ;)

Look Boss - it is a (very) nice car - maybe the colour only appeals to a few.

Either keep it or sell it and then move onto something else.......from all the publicity that you keep giving it you clearly want to sell it......so do so

I am fed up of seeing it and would rather look at what your next acquisition will be..........???...what do you want to buy next?

Funny you should say that! I was looking admiringly at the pics (although I prefer the facelift model that I own), but thought the steering wheel looked wrong. I know the Sportline wheels are smaller than standard, so Googled 124 Sportline steering wheel, and look at what I found! A few sweeping and questionable statements there, The Boss! Good luck with the sale though.

Charles Ironside has this one on the same site. 3k more miles, but £10k cheaper.

 I'm a bit out on my insurance agreed valuation then. I would have to trade 5 of mine to get the Bosses car!

oh no, here we go!

I have to admit I had a chuclke at the newspaper picture.

Nice sense of humour.

These are both super clean cars.

I have "collected" things, Bikes, Cars, Cameras over the years.

The older and more "mint" they are, the less likely they will be used in the future.

For normal people, two points

to keep their value they need to stay "mint"

Used cars are usually good cars, Mercs and the like need to be used, if they are used they tend to be far more reliable than any unused mint vehicle.

Therefore the question is

Low miles and mint = mega £s but unusable

Moderate miles, say 5,000 pa and well looked after = less money but more enjoyable.

I am not being negative Boss, but maybe your car is becoming a museum piece

some things are more enjoyable to look at than to use - well maybe????

Move on M8 - tell us what you are going to do with the money?

Cheers

You don't still have the photos by any chance?

:D:D Mine was the last post before the "house visit" I think, so don't worry, Koolvin, I genuinely stumbled across the ad!!:D

Speaking of which, I've been to few MBOC Concours events, and seen some very tidy, lower mileage 320 cabs.

I am looking for a Bentley Azure about 5-10 years old, the ones which were facelifted and had the chrome mesh under the head lamps and the indicators only on the egde..

see pic below of my pref style!

the newest azure looks too gangster and has lost its class.. this one though looks the part.. or dark green/black.. hmmmm

The reason I like the clear version is that it removes a third element out of a triadic colour scheme. Essentially you have an amber/green/silver scheme and I had a worse burgundy/amber/silver scheme. Removing the amber hamonises and simplifies the colour scheme. This is what I wanted to achieve. In a similar way the flatface wheels also simplify the look.

I might change the rears lights too, but I have not come across a set that suits.

A reasons not to do this is that it is not original, but it wouldn't take a few minutes to swap it all back again.
