Think your right I knew I shouldn’t of used the shit hose they sent with the can not a baffled 1 either but for now il bypass the can do same trip again and make sure it’s not pushing oil outta the dipstick tube any links to decent pipe cheers bud for the reply
This looks like the 1st on I used....did not like the way the feeds sat on top of the can....this one is what I changed too...
0.3L Oil Catch Breather Can Universal Baffled Aluminum Reservoir Tank Black UK 711005726337 | eBay

Its baffed and has option of filter on top....which I have but with a one-way valve under it...so under turbo vacume it closes the original PCV and does not draw air via the filter on top! (It was added recently hence not in my photo above)

Did you not like the way the feeds sat on top or did car not breather properly with them that way

Now gonna order this cheers bud
Well done a quick 2 mile trip with the cc bypassed no sign of oil coming out the dipstick tube so looks like it was the hoses So ordered the 1 u linked me to in blue hopefully this sorts it

I've still got this one in my garage, I mainly changed it because it did not have the baffles.....but the way the fittings attach to the top I thought was poor....even with the foam seals mine leaked....also thought the holes were small for the 12mm diameter fitting. The one I have now has much bigger internal hole for better flow.

Yes holes deffo smaller and il have to have a proper look when it’s all plumbed up again to see if it leaks from there

You need to make sure that the hose is AT LEAST the same internal diameter as the original hose.

The flow from the crankcase to the inlet should not me restricted by the new plumbing or the excess CC pressure will damage something, probably something expensive.

Also, I'm not convinced that PVC hose have sufficient high temperature strength. Even the good stuff is only man enough for 85 degrees C, and quite a few hoses will collapse/blow-up as low as 60.... Probably best to stick with reinforced rubber hose.

Another problem with large diameter hose to a Catch Can is that the Plastic Engine Cover/trim might not fit, that engine is noisy enough without having to run it without the engine cover!

My cover fits fine!
Let’s see if this is any better looks same as the other bit I brought not the smaller piece that come with the catch can

Along with the new breather hopefully it will do something if not then only other thing would b injectors

Don’t know about re using the seals/gaskets again only done 600 miles on them since I done the oil cooler lol
DON'T use and gasket seal on the turbo metal gaskets they "clip" on......it can block them.....hope it works...
Mine had new Glow Plugs and relay not that long ago.....but notice that If I cycle the ignition a few times....there is NO white smoke at all when 1st started....I assumed it was Condensation having got the car October...but I fired it up the other day and it did it...soon clears like condensation would.....so left it a few days and did it again with 3 cycles and NONE......so maybe just weak plugs.....
Its not going to get used much if at all until some sort of "normality" resumes, as just using the Wifes Co Car 3008 Pug.
Also Fired up the beast (The CLS 55 AMG) my oh my I'm gonna miss using that....more so given the weather we've been having.....but just hearing it (4 cats....4" pipe..thats it) put a huge smile on my face....:)

Yeh that’s what I meant didn’t know to reuse the metal gaskets again only put them on last month done about 600 miles I think they should b ok to use again. I have same problem with glow plugs I cycle ign 5-7 times and it starts perfect if I just get in and let it cycle 1 time it takes abit of time to turn over and I get some smoke but only for a few seconds but yeh il fit this turbo n clean out any oil in intercooler when the lockdown is abit more relaxed and let u know how I get on with the idle smoke hoping it sorts it as need the E280 more right now as think the pressure plate has gone on my s3 bloody only drove it a couple times since I got the merc gave it abit off the lights and didn’t get into 2nd lol and very nice amg55 I bet that goes like fook and sounds the nuts

Hope everyone well.....and staying safe.....
Changed the glowplugs while on lockdown (summat to do).....but car had be sat for over a month and I wish I'd gave it a run 1st....because....
After fitting the glowplugs all was well starts well etc....
Today take it for a run and Limp Mode!!
Ran two coders....
Bog standard one reads P0299
My MB icarsoft V2.0 reads P2359-1 Charge Pressure Control - Too Low

As most know and I thing said above its a new Turbo (had two actualy) but came with the actuator....so thats also new....so....
Whats peoples thoughts.....actuator or the Boost Sensor??
Or anything else.......gone over everything I did to change the glowplugs.....all seems fine.....other than bat wing off and on left a bracket to move wires out of the way its was quite easy...I just loosened the air boxes as they are so fiddly enough to get bat wing off....

@rossy Have you checked all the seals on the hoses and the hoses themselves going from the turbo for any leaks?

Not yet...but it was fine before lockdown....then done glow plugs....so only had the bat wing off which I rechecked. Going to take it off again and check a plug that had very small hoses going to it that I had to unbolt to get access to front left glow plug....its the red circle in the picture. Anyone know what it is?.....not well at mo so may not get to look today. Ordered new boost sensor as not that expensive...its under the left maf on the bat wing.

Ok not driven it as still a bit ropey, but did clean using "electrical switch cleaner" the boost sensor yesterday before I ordered one as did not know they were only £25 (say only...tiny thing) ....just been out to it in the garage to make sure the wastegate is opperating which it is open the garage door....started it up and the engine just revs much better than it did at any point yesterday (having been a month since using it was hard to tell).....so if up to it...I may get it out for a test drive.....or may just wait for the boost sensor...fit that before I do, so if it still does it....I've ruled that out....
Could not see any splits.....all pipes looked fine...
