Pick up my first Merc tomorrow

Hi everyone I've finally decided the time has come to upgrade my car to something a little bit more exciting. I currently own a MKV Golf R32 which is a fantastic car and the 4 wheel drive system is stunning. I've been looking for something a bit special and have decided to trade the R32 in for a CLK55 AMG Convertible.

I will post some pics up soon as I know a thread is useless without pics

Hi SPX It's a 2003 CLK55 so believe this is a W209?

Have to say it was damn typical that the minute I picked it up, the rain came down and has been on and off all day. At least I know the roof doesn't leak!

The drive home was some 100 miles or so and I was grinning like a Cheshire cat the whole way. The car is simply awesome and listening to that V8 soundtrack is stunning, even better when the roof's down :bannana:

Can't wait to give it a really good clean, clay bar, polish and wax and then drop the roof and just drive.

Hi Matt, I have just joined tonight, picked up my slk 55amg friday past and so love the V8 rumble again. Had a TVR chim and the v8 is better than a stereo. Hope to talk again soon

Hi Ray - Yes the V8 rumble gets me every time and I used to love the V6 noise from my R32 but this is something else entirely! Welcome along buddy
