Just posting a thank-you to Oliver for looking at my car in his new garage :)

I was very impressed with his knowledge and he worked on the car as if it was his own. He even spotted and fixed a bodged mount that another garage had fitted previously.

If anyone's in the area and needs work doing I highly recommend dropping him a PM.

Top marks

Thanks for the thread KD.

Anytime. Just let me know when you want the V8 transplant.

Sorry.....Spark plus replaced!!

Olly, i'll MP you soon about the other work if thats ok?........ spoke to euro car parts today but the bloke was a muppet so gonna check the product codes are right with someone else tomorrow!

Going for a standard exhaust too, Remus would be nice, but im not sure about the looks and performance would be neglegible...... wouldnt it?

Hmmm, but then again it is stainless instead of mild steel........ I cant decide!!!

Will we be having a secret ballot to elect Olly as an MP?...:D

If going for a standard steel exhaust I would recommend www.Leisureshack as a supplier. They sell Bosal which are good and their prices are rock bottom, well below ECP.

Call me whenever you like for the work.

I doubt that the "performance" exhaust will actually improve the power by any means.

If you had other mods to go with it it might.

Meh, iv decided that unless a reasonable amount is to be spent (pulley kit etc.) then mercedes probably did a better job than i can. I'll leave messing with air filters, exhausts and such behind with my modified (molested?!) Puegeot 306.

Its just the second and third items down in that list from dieselman that i'll need isnt it? (thanks D-man by the way!)

Will bring it up as soon as i can get them delivered as the sound is getting on my nerves now! I'll keep you posted.

Cheers :)

Called the above site and they dont stock the exhaust for the C230 Kompressor, just n/a :(

Only other place i can find is MB dealers at £251.19 +Vat, is this as good as im gonna get or does anyone else have any other ideas before i buy?

They were really shifty about giving me the part number! (read a thread about that somewhere on here) but it's 2024902621, if thats any help?

Thanks guys :D

I can get it a tiny bit cheaper than that. Let me know.

Just wanted to post and say thanks for another great job. Had my new exhaust fitted a few days ago and it's been fantastic, forgot how much power the car had lost it's been blowing holes in both silencers for so long!

Oh, the rattle from a heatshield under the car has also been sorted in the process :bannana:

If you need any work doing i can highly recommend contacting Olly, you wont be disappointed.

Next up is the worn belts, which i'll contact you about soon hopefully, thanks again mate :)

Had my CLK serviced by PCS yesterday. I am glad I made the 1 hour trip from London. So easy to get to: if you can get to the A3, you just keep driving and then when the A3 ends (at Havant), turn off, turn right the first left, then you can see PCS up the hill. So easy a simpleton like myself can get there.

Big thumbs up. Saved myself quite a lot of money as I wasn't charged an "AMG" tax.

Oh, and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the Red Lion pub (part of the Brewer's Fayre chain) if you want a decent-ish lunch, or you can get a train to Portsmouth and do some shopping at Gunwharf Quays if you enjoy that sort of thing.

Interesting post by shadowninja, I have said use black for a service or repair to people that live ½ the distance that shadowninja did.

The average person cannot earn what they would save going down to him, plus to know that the work has been done perfectly must be worth more than that.

It would seem that people in the North are happy to travel to a known good repairer, but not so much down South.

I know what I would do

Shadow - I might just take your lead and wander down there for my next service. I don't exactly live far from the A3 either! ;)

havnt been fortunate enough to have any work done from Oliver yet but hes been extremely helpfull both in person and via private messages

I have just recently and he's a top man! Well worth the drive.
