Proposed GTG Cheshire. Tuesday 9th of November.

Going to be too much hassle for me to get down tonight so I will have to give it a miss. Fortunately I didn't add myself to the list in the first place so no need to amend!

Will keep my eyes open for further northern GTGs. Is there anything else in the pipeline over the next couple of months? Couldn't find any threads although looks like I have missed a recent curry night!

I don't think there is anything in the pipeline now before springtime but there are plenty of GTG's thereafter. Jay's GTG at Nuneaton is definitely worth attending, it's always a great event.

Did I really type "week" instead of "weak"?

A Round Table booked for 7.15. :thumb:

Sorry chaps - I'm still bogged down at work and there's no end in sight yet.

It wasn't to be. Hopefully I'll do better next time!

Bad luck Keith, looking forward to seeing you at the next one. :thumb:

A good time was had by all.

Super company and the food was very good (I must make my instructions clearer when speccing how well done I'd like my steak in future though).

Thanks guys. :thumb:

I enjoyed meeting you all and the venue was spot on..
What a posh area!!
Mr Ringway I thought you did well eating your steak that looked like it was alive!
It was great to meet Shude (Nick) and Julia again.. Only met them once before ages ago (Lucky them)..

Once again thanks to all who made it.

Great do. 133% attendance increase on lasts years GTG in Cheshire. Thanks for organising a roundish/oblongish table Paul.

That sticky toffee pudding with chef's own sticky toffee sause was bob on. I shall return.

A big thanks to TJ and Ringway for organising, It was good to finally meet Shude & Julia. The food was excellent and although mine and Ringway's steaks were supposed to have been cooked exactly the same, I reckon a good vet could have got his going again, so definitely not medium/well.

The winner of the day had to be TJ with the whale he had on his plate. :D

Top notch food and great company, what more could you ask for?

Thanks for organising guys look forward to the next one.

Best regards
Ian

I believe the chef was merely trying to educate young Paul in how a steak should be cooked. :p

I remember many years ago, a lovely little restaurant/bistro in Sheffield that I knew had three choices printed on the menu alongside the steaks - 'rare, medium, or ruined'.

Maybe the chef was French - we all know they just don't get the 'bien cuit' thing!

Anyway - sorry to have missed it. Bookwork was so much more appealing. Not.

Get you next time.

A bit late with my reply but as posted a very good night with good people. Got to do it again sometime. Paul would never get a job as King Arthur, he hasn't a clue about a round table :D It was nice to park my car between a couple of Bentleys though

The waitress did find a round table, but it seated just five at best..

We'll have to try another GTG at The Dog in the lighter summer evenings, very pleasant. :thumb:

No wonder the "Doggin" is your local. (Sorry cracked that one last night)

If you travel 5, miles away to "The Carrs" there is a lot of it about there. :D
