Still have a few small issues that i'm trying to rectify:
1.The car still runs hotter than it should, happy to sit on the 100'C mark even when on a motorway. Changed everything on the cooling side but still no joy! Compression checked the engine, no probs. A few custom mods are in order tomorrow.
2.The car smokes ever so slightly a black/bluish smoke. Only noticed it today after a after the car had been idling for a few hours. Its 90% improved since the engine was re redone but still there. The colour of the smoke is no longer an intense blue as before but its a slight shade now, more black. Have been assured that its some residual oil in the exhaust and will settle down after i've driven it. In fairness the car's done about 5 miles if that since. The engine has been compression checked and everything appears to be fine. Will give it a run to the GTG on Sunday, see if it helps.
3. The interior is in a right state, imagine leaving a car with a mechanic for nearly 5 months, and then a month at the bodyshop! I feel alot of scrubbing going on this weekend!
But i am really impressed with the ride and smoothness of the car. The gearchanges are silky smooth and the exhaust sounds amazing! Its not loud, just a really nice deep V8 note.
