JD - a liquid used to take away the unpleasant flavours of a newly toasted American oak Bourbon barrel until such time as a proper malt whisky can be put in.

My watch competition has been C63'd :ban:

That's it - forum members: we have a new verb.

To C63: To apply an often unwarranted level of detail regarding one's vehicle specification to an unrelated topic. Examples of usage:

"I went to the Christmas party and got completely C63'ed".

"I laughed so much that I C63'ed"

And "C63 and multiply".

Sorry I'll keep the threads to the subject only, but being that I waited for this car (No car name mentioned) for 4 months and it is something that is very precious to me and that this car (No car name mentioned again) is made by a certain manufacturer (Not mentioned) and this is a website for that manufacturer I didn't think it would offend anyone. Are well.......I LOVE MY C63

Benjy, although you are the current top C63'er it is by no means just you. I did a search of C63 threads before I started this topic and the phenomenon has been apparent for some time.

Hope you enjoy your car. I had a go in one at MB world and was very impressed indeed.

No worries, I am just very excited about my new car and you are right, I cant stop throwing C63 in alot of comments, no offense taken and none meant back.

Cheers

Its a bit of fun. At least its quicker than saying E320CDI Avantgarde.:D

No loos in Brooklands?

Something people drink until they discover a good Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Or decent Vodka, actually I take that back, as a Scotsman you're being patriotic, were just jelous we didn't invent any decent drinks.

Well, that only took two posts!

Not at all. I have had plenty of nice cars in my time - and I quite like the one I have currently, thanks. I certainly wouldn't swap it for a C63 (though I would swap it for an E63 estate :))

Maybe I should have entitled my thread "Any other 2005 S211 320 CDi Avantgarde (with lots of extras) owners feel like moaning about thread titles?".:D

Yes we all believe you - of course you would not swop it for a c63 :D  ;)

Looks like Prprandall just got his Phd........ Playa hating degree!

Dont hate the playa, hate the game!

Now, I know this is going to come across as being curmudgeonly, but....

What is it on this forum all of a sudden with all the posts containing "C63" in the title when it has absoutely nothing to do with the post subject? I am not going to quote actual examples because I know it isn't done intentionally and I don't want to offend anyone (too much). But will somebody please tell me why a thread has to have the title: "Clearing snow from the C63" when it is obviously going to be a thread about clearing snow from a car. Any car. Doesn't even have to be a Merc. It's the same snow.

Or: "Lack of grip in my C63". We are all lacking grip right now!!! I know the C63 has got a lot of grunt and wide tyres but it also has a variable throttle control (AKA accelerator pedal) like every other car. And should owners of E63s be prevented from contributing? Or even C320 CDis for that matter?

Or: "C63 creaking door trim" or "C63 sunroof option" or "Paint swirls in my C63 boot". It is the same door, sunroof and paint as every other C class!

Ah well, must be the cold weather makes me intolerant. Anyone else here agree or am I just being grumpy?

Prprandall

I have a saved search for all threads with C63 in the title
perhaps i should modify it to "proper C63 threads";)
to avoid us semi deluded chaps discussing c63 stuff for the hell of it
- there have been accusations of elitism from c63/AMG owners , what with that rather exclusive Bluewater meeting:eek: , i think this could be an extension of that.
i was thinking of starting a thread about winter tyres on a, yes, youve guessed it, a c63 ...;)

me thinks you want a c63 sir oh i feel a thread coming on " In denial about c63's !!!";)

:D:cool::D < im the deluded one in the middle

How is it elitist to own a C63?? I thought most non-MB owners viewed it as elitist to simply own a Mercedes?!! :D:D

Seriously, a C63 is a nice car, but it's not the most expensive or the best in the MB range, so what's all the fuss about?

Ask prprandall51 who started this rather pointless thread.
