not the best .....????:crazy::eek::D

regarding AMG elitism you need to read threads from Mr Rashman , keep up Mr Sorrel !
regarding fuss you need to read prprandalls initial comment / post
Well, I was a little tongue in cheek there, but honestly, I really don't see the fuss about the C63...

I certainly wouldn't expect any arrogance from those who own C63s, after all, I'm sure a lot of us here could own one if we chose, it's just a C63 wouldn't suit everyone's needs. I for one, wouldn't buy one - I don't need or crave the power and (no offence here!!) I don't much like it's looks - horses for courses eh! :)

Just goes to show how much I know about cars I didn't know what a W204 was....I'll keep my threads a little more discreet in the future!

Funny the cover I ended up ordering today apparently is bespoke to a (Im not going to mention it) and not for a standard C class, as thats what I asked them for in the first place and they said they needed the actual model.

Cheers

Its a nice car, looks like a Rover though. Its the wheels that make it look that way, classic Rover wheels. Shame i think. Shame on Merc for copying Rover

Do you know of anyone who had their C63 de-badged? :D

Not everyone has the same tastes and no one is presuming that a 63 is the best...it would be a funny old world if we all liked the same things. We choose our cars because thats what we want and can afford regardless of what we all go for in a model or make. Me I am a bit of a petrol head like most 63 owners and I enjoy the noise and power from a big V8 which goes back the big American muscle cars from when I was a kid. Its why I loved the TVRs so much, and not becuase of their quality purely for that whacking V8 under the hood (like the American phrase there LOL) its why I bought my car as it has that V8, noise but the quality we all have in all our cars and thats a Mercedes. I dont understand this thread and got a little narked about it last night but to be honest I cant see the point of having a pop at C63 owners because this is their car of choice and something that we are all proud of owning. No its not a Ferrari looking car and yes I have already had a comment of the Rover looks, but that just makes me smile even more as this is a discreet monster what ever way you look at it and puts a smile on my face every time I jump into it. Thats what I wanted from my baby and thats exactly what I got. Its the same for the other boys on here and we all enjoy swapping and talking C63s. Plus any forum is about learning and asking questions and shouldn't have anyone having a pop about them. As I stated I not very technically minded but have learnt a hell of a lot about my car and the dos and donts through this website.

So if anyone is offended by the threads or the titles of those threads because it has that unsavory car name in it that some of you don't like, then don't go into them and read them, cose if you think the titles are bad read some of the things that people who own AMGs state in them, that would really get you going but is totally interesting to me and all the other AMG owners so we love it. Sad, maybe, but all the same a good read none the less. :bannana:

Happy Xmas Everyone! ;)

Couldn't agree more, which is why I bought a Camaro and a TransAm when I was younger and will doubtless buy a C5 Corvette at some time in the future (when my drive grows big enough to house all the cars I want! :) )

But, why do I get the feeling that C63 owners think their cars are the best of the best and everything else is a little bit below them?... Just a feeling... :)

HAHAHA! So are we assuming that those who don't own a C63 can't afford one??? :D Let's not go there.... :)

If is a yes what you`re going to do about it,buy one :D:D

Guess I'll have to now, just to prove I can! hahahaha!!

OK, jokes over, just a bit of fun! I like the C63 as much as any other MB, just for me the CLS is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better! :D:D:D

Indeed Sonny, indeed! :D

I previously had several V6-engined cars (not MB), and as keen DIYer, found them difficult to work on without proper garage facilities, mainly due to awkward access to various engine components. :wallbash:

I was therefore very happy to buy a 4-cylinder MB, because having a small 4-inline engine comfortably fitted inside a large engine-bay is really an ideal DIY proposition . I wouldn't even dream on having the C63 with a V8 shoehorned under the bonnet.

Then I became unwell, sadly for a rather long period of time, and result I am no longer able to carry-out DIY. So now I dream of a C63. :(

Does this answer the question? :D

Mpfc!

Good evening. Here is the news for Parrots:
No parrots were involved in an accident on the M-1 today when a Lorry carrying
High-octane fuel was in collison with a bollard. That's a BOLLARD and *NOT* a
PARROT. A spokesman for parrots said he was glad no parrots were involved.
The Minister of Technology today met the three Russian leaders to discus a
a 4 million pound airliner deal....None of them entered the cage, or swung on
the little wooden trapeze or ate any of the nice millet seed. Yum, Yum.;)

Not at all, there is always going to be something better out there...the guys I have meet that own these cars are hard core enthuiasts and love their cars, and why not, whether anyone cares to admit it, these are a piece of work and gives the practicality of a family saloon its why I knocked the DB9 on the head, always wanted one but couldn't justify the impracticalities of it and why I love my new car so much. This was an ideal choice for me and has all the traits I want in a car. I think if you are a true petrol head then cars as a whole have their interesting traits and personalities, and the work that is done on a special model is always going to attract attention. Mercedes just happen to do some of the most amazing different models on the planet. I work with guys that own Veyron's and our downstairs garage has some of the most exotic and amazing pieces of kit you could possibly imagine, but I don't knock em, as like all the AMG boys here I admire these supercars and the work that goes into them. Thats why we go on about our cars so much, its because we love em!

Totally agree. Don't you find it interesting that we have certain associations that can either put some people off or turn some people on. For example, i don't like the Rover looking alloys on a C63, yet i put A8 alloys on my Alfa in memory of my A8 and got loads of stick from alfisty's for it, didn't stop me though. :bannana:
