No, it won't be as cheap, as mercedes themselves won't be giving dealers as much because it's a new model. The deal you've seen on an ML seems good to be fair. I know from personal experience that we wouldn't offer that kind of deal, but we're not struggling to shift them. If it's within monthly budget, I'd get the new ML

Using the 'new' software today quite a lot has changed, the Traffic is now TMC, it was digital, and I am getting speed camera alerts in a different format but there are still no icons on the map.

Just to add.
Reading the German forums tonight and it seems they are miles ahead. Last week they were updated to V4 Map Pilot, and there is no issue with loading, using and displaying custom POI's on the Nav screen including Speed Cameras.

MBFS GMFV value-enhancing options on the C350e

Hi JBD,

Firstly, thank you for maintaining this thread on MBClub; not only has it been very informative, but it is the reason that I have just signed up as a member.

May I ask you what the MBFS GMFV value-enhancing options on the C350e Saloon are, in (i) Sport and (ii) Sport Premium Plus trim please?

Additionally, as is mentioned above, the configurator has recently added the (seemingly) no-cost option 'PTC AUXILIARY HEATER'. Is this something that customers should considered updating their order specifications to include? My vehicle was order at the end of March; would this be included or is it something I should advise the dealer to add (not least as it is a no-cost extra)?

SL in Selenite Grey

Hi, Anyone know why there is a problem at MB with Selenite Grey paint. I ordered a new SL500 two months ago in Palladium Silver only to be told some time later that the colour had been discontinued and was being replaced by Selenite Grey. So I chose that colour and was advised delivery for September, 2015. Some weeks later I'm told that Selenite Grey is in great demand and my car cannot now be manufactured until year end. My MB garbage don't know why and MB UK have told me that there's a problem with the paint or it's not yet available or there's a large backlog of cars waiting to be painted in Selenite Grey. Anyone know what's going on? Is MB genuinely having a problem with this colour or with supply? I want to spent £80K on a new car and MB can't supply it for at least six months. I wouldn't mind if I hadn't sold my existing SL500 in anticipation of delivery in September but now I probably have to wait until 2016. Thanks, Pete

They are changing a lot of cars to Selenite Grey, so it must be in high demand. It's on the SLK, CLS, GLC etc. I can't think of any other reason

The Auxiliary heater is standard, I'm not aware of any changes on this model yet.

Premium and premium plus pack are both value enhancing in themselves. Other enhancing options are:

Head Up Display
360 Camera
Intelligent Light System

Normally all bar £50-£100. There's little benefit to getting a flat colour

I am now actually getting some action from MB csc, including being booked in to a dealer next week. But TBH, I dint think anyone knows.

It DOES work in Sweden, a guy has posted pictures with all the alerts and camera icons on his map. He claims to have just followed the Garmin personal POI loading procedure; I've done that, as have many others and it doesn't work for us.

Just had confirmation from Garmin that they were specifically told to remove as much customisation from the software as they could.

Why on earth would MB do that? It's ridiculous! A premium brand, offering a £600 option that is out-performed in every respect by a £40 cheapo halfrauds bit of tat.

Just not good enough, I just hope they react to the mass of discontent about this and put it right, the Garmin guy has said it would be very easy to restore any and all removed functionality.

They aren't doing anything, charged or not. And it seems a strange business model to me, p1ssing off your customers by partnering the biggest GPS solutions company in the world and then strip out the things that make it good, damaging the reputations of both businesses in the process.

JBD while looking at r172 AMG's on approved used they list a few as being delivery miles only? Would these be sold with full manufacturers warranty or 1 year as used? And do any warranty issues have to be concluded at the supplying dealer or can they be transferred to local?
