Hi JBD, Not sure if you are still posting on this but just wondered about the new 4 and 6 engines, when are they likely to be announced?

For which vehicles? The E class

JBD while looking at r172 AMG's on approved used they list a few as being delivery miles only? Would these be sold with full manufacturers warranty or 1 year as used? And do any warranty issues have to be concluded at the supplying dealer or can they be transferred to local?

If they are registered vehicles, they will have the remainder of the 3 year warranty, from registration date. Warranty work can be done in any merc dealership

Would you know if a service care contract can be taken out just before 12 months from registration allowing me to pay outright for the first cheaper service but getting services 2, 3, and 4 for £30 per month for a C Class?

I know if I take out a service care plan after 12 months it is more expensive.

Yes you can, I did the same with my car and it makes sense as the first service is relatively inexpensive.

Nope, they told us it's not coming to the UK currently. C450 should arrive in March. I thought it was awesome! Sounded great and I actually beat my time in the C63S in the C450 because of the added grip.

We're expecting it to start around 45k, but nothing confirmed yet and probably won't be until the end of the year

the same engine in SL400 sounds pretty lame, as our Yank friends would say.

am surprised C450 quicker than C63S. was it wet? what sort of course was it?

It was quicker with the ESP on. You could get your foot down quicker for sure. The C63 just took the power away from you. I think day to day with your average driver it's more that quick enough.

I think the SL400 sounds better than the SL350. The C450 pops and bangs on the overrun

Will the C Coupe launch as a C450? Also, are they going to put the 6 cylinder diesel in it, or stick with the 4 pots still in this model?

I'm not sure if it will be from launch. I very much doubt it, I think it will arrive later. No word on engines yet

The C450 AMG Estate (or GLC 450 AMG) is very appealing, I imagine real world it's as quick, if not quicker than a C63 due to the drivetrain. Only on a track/drag race would the C63s power really tell.

JBD, quick question. I have had my c220 amgline saloon for a week or so, received my V5C doc, but it says w204 under type and not w205? Is this a problem, should i contact my dealership?
