Took the A210 Evolution out for a run, first in 3 weeks! Started first time and had a great blast through the local country lanes. All it needs now is someone to buy it

Replaced the plastic valve caps that tyres on the drive fitted with the metal ones that I purposely took of before they fitted new tyres. That was twelve months or more back, just found them tucked away in a draw of my roll cab.

I bet nobody has put this on this forum before.
Today I shaved my alcantara. No seriously. The AMG seats on the 55k's and 63'sHave two patches of alcantara (or similar) by your shoulders on the front seats. After passing 100k miles (40k with me) the patches had started to pill up like the bobbles you used to get on a wool sweater. It probably looks worse on my car as it has the cashmere beige interior, whereas black hides most things. It had niggled me for a long time so I decided to do something about it. First I tried pulling the little congealed bits off by hand but its almost impossible. So out came the old Gilette mach3 and I shaved them of. first one direction and then accross at 90 degrees. result is pretty much as new.

Dry shave?

Washed it, then polished, then it started to rain so wax tomorrow perhaps!

Collected the car from specialist PPF fitting firm after having bonnet redone after a respray as previous owner had put a PPF cover on over the top of some obvious stone chips that my OCD needed fixing. The firm I used also refitted the PPF around the rear number plate and rear bumper as the original job wasn’t up to standard. Thoroughly please with the results :thumb:

Next job is a new set of tyres all round, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S appear the rubber of choice so will be getting that done soon.

I cleaned both cars and now it’s started raining.

Drove to Devon last night.
On my own, dry roads, some nice places where the car was able to open up on the A303.

Used some fuel, but the smiles (and noise) was worth it.

Return trip this afternoon :)

updated the Sat Nav Maps lol, little job but can save you loosing your mind on a road trip ;)

Sold the 190E today. It's been advertised for a few weeks but not necessarily in the best places. I haven't really had much interest apart from one or two time-wasters but the guy who eventually bought it actually came over from Ireland this morning and is now on his way back with it.

I'm sorry to see it go but I'd gone as far as I wanted to go with it. It's now time for a new owner to appreciate it a bit and use it, which is more than I was doing with it.

Now for phase 2 of the master plan...

She is a cracker. What's phase 2?

She is a cracker.

Thanks you, she was indeed, now being looked after in a new garage.

What's phase 2?

Phase 2 is now partially completed, which is selling the E Class. I have a buyer lined up for it but want to hold on to it for another few weeks yet, so this bit still needs negotiating .

Then on to phase 3, which is where it gets a bit complicated. As that's still an ongoing project however, I'm keeping it quiet in case it all goes pear shaped. ;)

Tease! What E class have you got? I'm inches away from biting the bullet and getting an 500e (or e500)!
