What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Bought the old girl some new clear side repeaters

Today I took an hour away from my WFH desk in the dining room and polished my exhaust tips, gave the inside a quick spruce up and cleaned up a few marks in the engine bay. All rather therapeutic :thumb:

Left it at MB now for the 3rd day and going into the fourth just to get the satnav maps updated...........

Car washed . 2 bucket method of course, used my new Australian lambs wool mit. Super soft...lush. Touched up some stone chips. Took her for a blast 😉

Took the C43/55 for it's MOT.
Forgot just how much it makes me grin like an idiot.

Let me preface this by saying I know nothing about MOT. My car and my wife's were put on a lift / hoist and then had the $1ht shaken out of the wheels / suspension by a bit of kit on the lift. Is this not the same at all MOT places?

I've seen that a few times, but the funniest one was a young Kwikfit MoT tester taking a pry bar under a front wheel looking for play in the steering - and despite me telling him there was none ("if you move the steering wheel the car moves", "it's a Porsche, there's no steering play") he insisted in continuing until he did eventually give up!!

Removed boot carpets.
Removed Rear Bumper.
Dropped rear exhaust boxes from hangers.
Removed heatshields.

Did the unthinkable to an S Class. (Insert guess here)

Put all the bits back.

Stopped every 20 minutes due to rain.
Please tell me you didn't make it louder 🔊😳😂

Did that lovely job of door lock actuator repair, good job there are so many youtube vids on it, and at least my door lock is no longer bouncing around like an old school raver

You can't beat a captains chair. Your Brabus ones look lush 👍 I had a Vito 116 Sport crew cab had the Leather captains chairs & the recliners in the back. Comfiest seats ever on a long journey.

Transferring the leather onto my electric heated memory seats at some point, ive also retro fitted 4 leather captain seats in the back as well. 🤣🤣

Dropped off Black Beauty today for her paint correction and Ceramic Pro coating. Windows and wheels also being coated. Not getting her back till Thursday 😢. Will be driving the better halfs Toyota Aygo in the mean time. 1ltr 70hp, 0-60 around 7 days 😫

Washed it and took the plastic cover off the wiper linkage to restore with some black trim polish, as the washed out grey was starting to annoy me.....

Took the two plastic trims off the boot/rear quarter side rain channels, underneath was absolutely caked in grot, after a lot of soaking, back to new now.
