Got a text from MB Poole inviting me to book the car in for its annual service and MOT.
They are a bit keen seeing the last service with them was mid Sept last year. MOT done elsewhere.

Used to do same to us always wanted it a month early. Figure that out over 12 years.

The exact thing happened with us Roger. MB Carlisle been hounding us with texts, emails and phone calls. Had the MOT & service done yesterday at my usual indie in Carlisle. Car was collected & dropped off. Great service for half the price. (£260)

They do seem a bit keen and I expect more than a few owners take no notice of when it was done last and just book it.

@ Ant. Mine is on a 3yr 3 service plan with 2xB and 1xA service. Keeping it in the dealership servicing for the time being and will decide whether to use an indy or not after next years last B service.

Had my 212 MOT'd today. It's just ticked over 74k. Straight through, no advisories.

Fitted SBC pump back on the W211 and bleaded brakes.

Fitted new rear SAM in W164 and programmed.

SBC takes a bit of time and means all 4 corners.

The SAM in a 164 though is fairly painless when you know where it is and how to get it out.

Just pressed the GO button on some front suspension arms and drop links for the E class from Autodoc (they have a sale on) went for Lemforder again . £200 all in so pretty pleased with that .
Ive had a knock which is very hard to hear but is irritating. Other noises earlier in the year I got rid of by changing the front control arms and ball joints .
I had been waiting until Autodoc was restocked with Lemforder and had a sale on .

I've got a day off so was down at the local jetwash at 9.00 am. Did the outside & the glass.

Next up; vacuum, leather cleaner & Gliptone.

er....10 weeks on and I've finally got round to the 2nd part of that job. Gave the seats, steering wheel & door cards a deep clean earlier.

And now my son is applying the Gliptone. Result!

Yesterday I was delighted to be asked to run some errands - mainly so I could enjoy the aroma of Gliptone. Love that smell.

Gave the old girl a pre wash before Beaulieu and then gave the door handles and wiper motor cover some C4 trim restorer treatment. Will lubricate the wiper mechanism tomorrow when I get the grease, weather permitting.

Replaced the original front grill with an aftermarket one with fewer slats, which I prefer. Little things That, along with the slightly fruitier exhaust, concludes the mods I intend doing to the car.
