What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Got new rear numberplate surround for Missy2 (thanks @ToeKnee) just got to order sticky pads for the front plate now. Then I'll be able to transfer the private plate over.

Agreed, though possibly biased here, hence ordering the night package on mine. :D

Old picture, it's currently in the garage acting as a guinea pig for several combinations of detailing sprays, think we're getting there slowly...
You do realise it has to get mucky 1st 🤣
Yhat is 1 exceptionally clean ca4👍

First the good news ...
I got the front of the E280 Estate up in the air and adjusted the play out of the front R/H wheel bearing.
No problems - I love that MB way of using a clamp nut to make the fine adjustment.

Then the bad news ...
I investigated the recent loss of pressure on the rear R/H tyre.
Disaster - There's a bloody great screw right thru the almost-new tyre.
Damned annoying - This is the third puncture in six months caused by the service trucks running up and down our street from a local building site and spilling their load as they go.
Ah well - I've changed the wheel for the Mickey-Mouse spare.
That's another wasted morning tomorrow that I didn't really need.
Bother !!!

After eliminating the various possible causes, I think I got the connectivity sorted on my new Android Auto system yesterday. Will find out if it's stable at the weekend when I pick my daughter up at Heathrow.

Meanwhile both cars are covered in dust AGAIN. This time from the building site two doors down. That'll be three weekends out of four when I've had to wash them.

Annoying, but at least it looks repairable🤞

Definitely repairable.
Dropped it into Rodley Motors (Bradford) at 9.00am this morning for a puncture repair.
Collected it at 4.00pm this afternoon.
Great service - As always !
It's now back on the car.

Is 7 hours to do a half hour puncture repair "good service"!!?? Usually I just wait and its done before I've read the letter page in the 2004 edition of "Womens" Realm they have on the coffee table!!

I dropped the wheel off at 9.00am and said I'll be back late afternoon.
It obviously didn't take them 7 hours !!!

Their coffee table usually has copies of Classic American.

I don’t know how many of you rely on your Tyre Pressure Monitor like I have in the past but I had my pressures tested today and they were way out. Tyre Pressure Sensors gave me no clues of the shortfall. The near side front was 10lb down. All back to where they should be and TPM reset. See what happens this time

Finally changed the fuel filter and turbo tube o rings . Not a nice job at all.
