What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Last night I found a Christmas present for Baby Dazzler (he’s now almost as tall as me) which was a cracking deal, quite a lot less expensive than the next least expensive Black Friday deal, and much less than prices just a few weeks ago.

Although it was a major retailer they had none for home delivery, but you could order and collect. Most stores were out of stock but one close to my office had some so we placed the order with the intention of me collecting some time next week.

Good job I checked the email as it said it would only be reserved for 2 days, so today Mrs D and I used it as an opportunity to go for topless drive on a beautiful, bright, blue but bitterly cold winter day. I absolutely love topless driving on days like today.

Stopped off for a late lunch at one of our favourite restaurants on the way back, and picked up some food for dinner tonight from their wonderful deli. Fuel, lunch and deli all paid for by the saving. Worked out very well, glad we had to collect it!

Scraped ice off the windows...first time this winter.
We got home from dinner at 2100 last night and there was already ice on cars. Beautiful day today though, but very cold so surely more of the same tonight.

Yes. But at least one of them has as much chest hair as a Turkish Rug to keep them warm.

Mrs D put a bikini top on before she went into Smyth’s Toy Superstore though, we’re not animals.
Didn't the chest hair get in the way of the bikini?

Hi did u cut the plate to fit in, I need to do mine too.w204. Is the plate from mb dealer or eBay.

Put the S204 on the Ctek trickle charger for 24hrs to boost the volts a bit.
Been away in the Middle East for a couple of weeks and the car was a bit reluctant to turn over first time of asking.
It was a new battery Oct 22 so probably just low from colder weather and lack of use.
Snow forecast for Thursday evening here so I want a fully charged battery.

The best one to pay for. Is the 15 year service a big one?

Probably but we do them ourselves and have already done the ATF a couple of times and diff. oil etc.
Plan before end of next summer is get them both on the ramp, undertrays etc. off and a big service including replacing the brake pipes and hoses etc. along with all the fluids again.

Lots of snow here overnight and lunch booked about 40 minutes away. Took the winter car with 4matic and winter tyres, and conditions were challenging.

The inappropriate speeds of most other motorists was shocking, especially as I’d bet that most would have been using high performance summer tyres.

When I got back home this evening I poured two 1 litre bottles of Winterfit screen wash into every car which could take it so that they’re winter ready.

Having recently driven from London to Leeds and back and then to Norwich and back I should have cleaned it but didn't.

Instead, this weekend I used it for all the short trips I'd normally use my wife's Fiat 500 for - purely to remind myself why I spent £2k upgrading the audio.

Rationally, it makes no sense. Aurally it's fantastic. I do love my music and being able to drive around with that quality and precision makes me very happy.
