Finally booked the SLK55 in for a new radiator I had to bite the bullet and order directly from Germany £599+ **** tax luckily its not summer so haven't really missed it

Finally ditched the ancient rubber and replaced with fresh Pirelli Cinturato P7 MOs. I would have liked to go all season or even winters but both seem unobtanium in the rear size. But hey, if it gets dicey we have the Scooby. Which incidentally is having it's winters put on Monday. Fingers crossed for snow

Fitters rarely get the pressures correct so waited until yesterday for the tyres to settle and cool down, dropped them down to the recommended 31psi and the car feels even better. The old ones must have gone very hard and either had a crack or two or the seal between the rubber and original alloys wasn't the best. It'll be nice not to have to get the foot pump out every week.

Driving around in a new CLA courtesy car today. I expected courtesy cars to all be EVs so I was a little miffed that I didn’t have a nice little EQ something or other.

To be fair, the dealer knows that the CLA is my favourite A-Class derivative so they had put me in the car that they thought I would like best, so I can’t complain.

It’s a really lovely car. Surprisingly blooming big too, especially on the outside. Well appointed inside, nicely trimmed, plenty of tech, and a really nice place to sit.

The thing which always impresses me is how well damped the CLA is relative to the other A-Class derivative, it’s a pleasure to drive on a British B road.
