What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Adjusted tyre pressures on most of the cars using the Bosch cable-free pump. which is on charge now so that I can finish off the final few.

Every tyre on every car needed a top up because it was so mild last time I checked and adjusted them, and now the temperature has dropped.

One of these? If so, any good?

Thanks, been looking at these as I end up ranting at my plug in one everytime I use it.
Yeah... but your old school plug in one won't have quite the same ability to blow up your hand/catch fire/explode as the one with the lithium ion battery.......
allegedly..;)šŸ˜...or run out of range before inflation has concluded!
PS I use a very similar device.

If it runs out of charge half way through pumping up the tyres, I can plug it into the accessory socket.........oh hang onšŸ„“

None of that "charging it up and it not being charged when you actually need it" nonsense with mine.....just plug it in the ciggy lighter....job done. I bought it for about eight quid on Amazon about 10 years back.....never let me down! Its always in the boot with my "rope type" puncture repair kit.....never needed to put a spare on since a carried those two bits around.

The battery operated pumps are easily more than enough for topping up tyre pressures for home use. The battery level would barely drop if checking and topping up all four tyres on a family car.

Yesterday I checked and topped up 20 tyres, with none being smaller than a 295 width, and adding between 3 and 6 PSI to each - I added car 10 PSI to two tyres as I increased them to the fully laden.

The battery light was flashing on the pump as I was finishing the last tyre on the fifth car and so I put the pump on charge - it charges really quickly - and I will do the rest of the cars later this week.

I keep a Michelin 12v pump in each car too for emergency use whilst away from home - and I used one on Saturday as I forgot to take the Bosch cordless when I went to collect a car from storage.

Since Iā€™ve had a cordless the 12v donnt get a look in. In fact the Pirelli Performance Centre at Pirelli HQ use cordless pumps on customer cars, and if itā€™s good enough for them then itā€™s good enough for me.

Replaced all the CLK rear light bulbs with Osram yesterday , because I kept getting ā€œbulb back up is on ā€œ (or similar) . I had swapped a single bulb the other week but that hadnā€™t worked .
Anyway I said to Mrs W a minute ago ā€œturn the lights on when you go shopping if the auto setting doesnā€™t put them on , just to check the new bulbsā€
Answerā€¦..ā€I donā€™t know how to do that ā€œ ā€¦.she has had the car 12 years :(

I forgot to post it yesterday, but my car clicked over 132,000 miles as I pulled on the drive yesterday. Itā€™s the highest mileage car Iā€™ve ever had. Blooming love it too. Oddly Iā€™m using it more now than I ever have too, despite having been in retirement for four years!
Same mileage as my E class as well last month :)

I washed it last night.

The S65 has been used every time Iā€™ve had the opportunity to take the car out and it was in a need of a wash desperately! Since the first day I bought the car, it has never looked this dirt before

Much better :)

I had a similar experience last week when the weather was freezing.
Mrs J was out there de-icing the front screen with a scraper.
I told her - Start the car, turn the heater on to full, and put on the front screen blower.
" ..... WHAT FRONT SCREEN BLOWER ?? ...... "
She's only had the car since September 2021 !
At least she did know that there was a rear-screen heater.

Disgusting! Sam, shame on you!
šŸ˜‰šŸ™‚ Bottom pic, that's better. šŸ™‚šŸ‘

And You will of course understand how to use every feature of all the kitchen domestic appliances....
Funny you should mention it.
About 10 years ago, I installed a new electric cooker and electric hob in the kitchen.
Mrs J was delighted and used it for a couple of years.
Then she sadly died.
In my distress, I floundered round the kitchen ...... A stranger in my own house.
Could I get the oven or the hob to work ??
Could I hell !
Eventually - In despair - I found the manual and read it.
Child locks was the answer.
Sorted !
At least I wouldn't starve for the want of a beans-on-toast.
[That's if I'd had any beans]
[That's if I'd had any bread}
