Fitted a new AC compressor which pulley had 7 groves instead of 8….shredded the belt and car is stranded. Cannot return the compressor as was fitted. Ordered new, correct one with belt, tensioner and deflection pulleys. Fingers crossed….bought a shotgun for my mechanic for not checking properly

Found the leak. It's the metal pipe from the flexi hose to the hydraulic unit on the o/s/f wheel.
Turned the wheel outwards and pressed on the pedal and fluid sprayed out.
Can't be repaired until next Tuesday
Looks like BOTG might have to be missed this year unless I can hijack the wife's Kia Rio and slink somewhere unnoticed at the George.:(

Sorry to hear that but at least it can be fixed. I’d offer go collect you but I need to be there early - and therefore set off very very early - but maybe someone else can pick you up on their way.

Hopefully we will still see you there….

I have an AMG badge that I have yet to stick on, …. could use it on the Kia….
